  1. .... It's just a putt over the hill to Canby for the all-Datsun meet June 9 & 10. www.datsunsnw.org for info. Bring Morgan Smith and the rest of the bunch with you......
  2. ... into the average parts counter and the average parts guy is going to give a blank stare and point you to the nut and bolt bins and wish you all the best..... "And don't forget to write the number down". Not just Z owners but all collector car owners have to start thinking of our selves as smarter than the average parts guy.....
  3. ... any decent tire store could get you into the right size stud and lug nut if the hole isn't too big now...
  4. Where'd those pictures go?? Nyuck nyuck
  5. ... by Kelvin Deitz in Eugene Or and is one of the nicest examples you'll ever see of a totally well done dime. The current owner bought it maybe 5 years ago for what I think was around $18K. Going to be interesting to see what it goes for, if it goes....
  6. .... over at www.Zbarn.com would have a line on the good midwest shops and hobbiests....
  7. Fuel cells, you say? Hell they can't even get the carburetors off of the "Cars of the Future"..... If they could put the Checker back into production this whole thing would be moot...... Talk about take a licking!!
  8. ... Pam has put some of these videos on DVD, but has failed to indicate it on the web site. Unless yours truly says something when taking an order the customer has to be pretty intuitive and read my mind.... Also correct on the re-do idea. There are items that need to be corrected and we have discussed where to find the extra hours in the day to re-do those tapes. I haven't looked at any videos for a long time but imagine the quality which, was iffy new, hasn't gotten any better over the years.
  9. ... might be helpful here. ZTV01 was the first video Scott did and he does a good job with the non SU items covered. If it's purely SU info your after, the JUST SUs ZTV 09 video is far better for carb related content. It's easy to see the he had learned a lot about carbs in those interveening years. As an aside, we marvel at our videos selling on Ebay, at times, at higher prices than we sell them for daily...
  10. ... that they didn't feel they had to feed us. There's a Chillis right down the road for a de-brief session.

  13. ... sponsoring a no charge swap meet this Sunday April Fools Day at Tonkin Wilsonville Nissan. !0 til 2 or?? Rain or shine. For those who don't want to sell their stuff at Datsun Driving Canby Fun '07 June 9 & 10.
  14. Several of the carpet outlets here had rolls of black automotive carpet. Picked the one I liked, cut the pieces, took 'em to an upholstery shop for binding & for like $75 the job was done.
  15. Was that body recently decommissioned from someone's navy?? Looks like it has been around the world under water...... Just keep poking and digging 'til you find sound steel.....
  16. .... Z car connector housing to a motorcycle shop and see it they might hve the very same style on hand..... Also a vinegar bath on those contacts will do the trick. Soak for 10 minutes, rinse, dry, dielectric grease, re-assemble. Strip your fuse box and do the vinegar bath to it first. That alone might cure a number of ills. When re-assembling the fuse box, throw those old fuses away and load new.
  17. Victor Laury, On the 510 you bought, of all the upgrades on it, how many made it slower, less reliable or less safe?? There are many 510 owners who view the car as a box onto which one can hang any number of upgrade parts, many of which come from Zs. Up this way even a percentage of roadster owners are going the update upgrade route to get more reliability, a faster ride while making it go where it's pointed and stop when one mashes on the brakes.
  18. Jay, So that's how "swop" is supposed to be spelled!! Now my real question is "what the Sam Hill is that other word"? Nyuck nyuck
  19. Chris, Just saying that the product out the door since Steve took over how the carbs are done has resulted in a better carb. Not that Scott necessarily built a bad carb the QC was up and down. If yours are working fine you musta got an UP set and that's good. Steve, by the way, fixed all the Scott's "others" under warranty gratis for the duration of the warranty periods just so you all know where he is coming from customer care wise.
  20. Chris, Either call me at 503-587-9800 or email me at sales@ztherapy.com and we can go over your questions. I'd say that someone out there might benefit from those early ZTherapy carbs more than we would by dissasembling them for core parts. They are not quite up to the standards of our current production but should still have a lot of useable life left. Anyway Ebay or ??? might be the way to go when the time comes.
  21. ... that Steve built as the proto-type. Bolted them on did the tweaking and they have run like a swiss watch ever since ON BOTH CARS. They were put on Mike's car to get it up and running and for the show, but they will now be used for casting pattern work. How many of you here think you would be interested in this lash-up complete ready to bolt on tweak 'em and go??
  22. Kcoke, What if anything have you found to be the solution to your dilemma?
  23. but how about a set or triple SUs? We are doing the development (say casting of manifolds) work to duplicate the triple set-up Steve Epperly had on the ZTherapy Z. We can guaranty the pleasure of driving on SUs, with the punch of three of 'em, with the simplicity of playing with mixture nuts & three screws to get 'em right, while being so subtle the average car guy wont know the difference.
  24. .... testimonial. Course you guys look for excuses to get out of El Paso don't you? Kidding, just kidding....... ZTherapy would like to add our thirds to this recommendation as well.
  25. another thought.... in the relaxed position is there a lot of slack in the cables? May be nothing more than just not getting the nozzles far enough down to richen things up enough to light that bad boy off. If things are set on the lean side this will be a bigger issue....
