    These are some pretty broad brush questions that are hard to get specific with. We do however have an example of an RB into an early Z at the shop if you ever get up to Salem. I doubt the owner would mind you taking a look.

    Isn't there a decent Z show over on the penninsula in August? An over nighter at a fair grounds or some such?? You guys have such neat geography in the Sound area, i'd think the options would be plentiful.

    Aw, the lunatic fringe rears it's ugly head again. It's getting so that I just almost assume that's the case anymore. As an aside, I wanted to point out that our marque spans a wide array of technology from brand new Zs to an nl320 pickup being started on the U-Tube clip with a hand crank..... Pretty cool stuff.

    I know. It was just another cheap opportunity to post the CANBY info. I harken back to my military days when they used to say that regardless how many time one puts the word out about some topic or another, 10% of the troops will never get it.

    While on the subject of this show, I have to ask what it was the Seattle Police Department's presence was there to guard against. Those rowdy Sunday car show types?? Maybe just some cheap overtime? Anyone have history as to why they felt they had to be there......?

    On any Early Zs or 510s or roadsters, taking the wiper mechanisms apart, cleaning and lubing them should be an automatic (when you get the car) and about every 2 years thereafter preventive maintenance item. Just like hinges and a bazillion other little PM things.

    First outing of the year, in fact first time in the car since going back together from the winter's thrash. One third and one fourth against 3 of the fastest E prod z in the country who run T-Hill all the time. Steve was conssitantly 2 seconds slower than the 3 fast guys with a pretty evil handling car. Looks like a track day coming up soon in Portland to get the handling dialed in.

    Sand paper or cloth on a flat surface or machine mounted sanding disk or belt.

    How do you guys do that? I get to reading away thinking, "boy these guys are hot on the trail of a solution to a real or perceived problem" as in this case, only to find out the whole thing started years ago.......

    A media blaster should, I would think, be something you could pick up close to home. I'd even check out your local Craigslist for used units for sale. Just saying, no need to ship one half way across the country when there are probably a half dozen for sale within 50 miles of you right now......

    We mail DVDs to Canada all the time. They may be getting hosed for fees but we don't hear any repercussions.

    Set the float level by backing the nozzle out 10 turns?? Not following that. When they were rebuilt did you replace needles and nozzles? Well, anyway, our JUST SUs DVD should show you what's up with these carbs and how to rectify issues.

    If they are flat tops, they are flat top 38mm Hitachis, which are no problem, as opposed to the Z flat tops.

    Get into a weatherstrip assortment and find a little like figure 8 extrusion that can be split with a razor blade. Steve Epperly found one at Home Depot that worked spiffy.

    Wow, had no idea I could go thru this being so totally fubar. Just called my friend that owns the glass shop, apologized for my business and that I would hence forth and ever more deal with JC whitney who I know values my business. Personally keepint the doors open on a warehouse in Chicago doesn't do anything for me. Helping to keep the lights on in a warehouse in Portland does......
