A while back on one of the Isuzu boards (now closed, hmm...), someone with a bit more engineering practical experience than me ran the calculations for an electric supercharger. What it comes down to is that the little thing that fits in the intake run does nothing more than lighten your pocket. There are/were two companies that made an effective electric supercharger, but if I remember correctly, one was a roots blower, driven by a trio of starter motors, and supplied by a huge battery bank, with a run time of 15 seconds on a fully charged bank, and the other was a centrifugal, with similar restraints. The little ones that go in the intake had something like a pair of 50mm computer ventilation fans in them, and at full throttle for the little 1.8L inline 4 isuzu engine, they ended up being a restriction, and couldn't even flow enough air to keep up with the NA engine air flow. Sorry for the minor hijack, but I've always been a bit cynical about "amazing gains" power adders, and seeing the math prove it stuck in my memory.
