  2. I have a 1984 Porsche 944 (Guards Red) to trade for a 240-280Z. I have finihsed building a 383 stroker and have a T56 6 speed transmission ready to install but the wife has begged me to have only one "fun" car at a time. The Porsche is my daily driver. Paint is Guards Red (nice condition) and the interior is black. The 911 Sport Seats have been installed and re-upholstered less than 18 months ago. Wheels are 15x8 Fuch. This is a very reliable car that I have maintained myself (I'm an aircraft mechanic). It is not perfect but is in good condition. I'm looking for a 70-78 Z that is in similiar condition. Mostly, I want a body that isn't being eaten alive by rust. Engine and transmission condition are relatively unimportant. I'm willing to travel to work a trade if you are interested. Please email me: james.r.hamm@us.army.mil if you are interested. I have many pictures. This could be a fantastic deal for someone. It has served me very well.
  3. Any chance you would be interested in trading me for my 1984 Porsche 944. I have all the service records, lots of pics, and it's an awsome car. If your interested, email me @ james.r.hamm@us.army.mil and I"ll send you some pics of interior, exterior. It's Guards Red with black interior. I have two 944's and I just bought my wife a truck so she won't be driving it much anymore. James....
  4. I may have a good lead on the BRE stuff. I'm currently in England for the next two weeks and there is a pretty good shop near here. I'll keep you posted. James...
  5. How big a project is this swap. I'm a Porsche guy who just got hit hard with the Z bug. I have a w/o a drivetrain from a 71. I have a friend who will sell me an 82 turbo motor, tranny, AFM, ECU and wiring harness with only 80,000 miles on it and it still runs great. What kind of project am I getting myself into. Please advise, I'm trying to learn a new hobby here that I think will be more fun with the people I come in contact with than those I've delt with for the last few years. Thanks James Hamm
