Hey Jerry you said something about the wrong dash you had for the project. Les had a replacement for you and you two just traded. What year dash was it that you had. I need to go up and visit les. I could use a crack free dash for my 73. Because Les is local, I'm thinking of ordering a bunch of interior parts from him. That way I would save on shipping vs. MSA. Well can't wait to see the finished project! Take it EZ. Mike

Hey Jerry I think it looks amazing! But still over five years and there hasn't been any assemblying of the car. I hope he's giving you a smoking deal on the restoration. You have a hella of alot more patience than I would. Hey is that a five speed or are you opting to keep it stock, with a four speed? Take it EZ Mike

Cool can't wait to see the final results. I live not to far from Les. I should go by and see it. Just to get a good idea what my car could look like if i restore it. Well post tons of pics when you get it Jerry. Take care Mike

Looks great! but whats the time frame that the car will be done? You've had it there over a year or more right? Can't wait to see the finished product.
  5. I have a set of five 280Z hubcaps in good condition if you need them. I can sell them for 120.00 for the set. They match the ones in the picture. Glad the car turned up. Insurance will probably salvage the car. At any rate you should buy it back if it's not already in your posession. Mike (zlion on zcar.com)

jerry your story has given me some wonderfull inspiration.although i now have a 260.i have pretty much always owned 240's.i'll probably get another 240 down the road.but i'm really liking the 260 for now.i had a love hate relationship with the 240.some day when i have the money i may either buy a restored one or have one restored.les is a good guy.he's come to some of the san diego club mettings.i believe he's a long time member.hell of a nice guy and very knoweledgeable.i've been to his shop a few times.they do very good work, but takes awhile because of lack of man power.but overall still a very good shop.you have left your car in good hands.maybe i'll go up for a visit soon and check it out.thanks again for your story mike aka (zlion) on zcar.com

hey guys when i had my 70 same thing happened to me.it cracked at the nozzle and i replaced it with a metal one from a 73.was able to screw it up to the panel using most of the holes.but i believ one of the holes didn't line up.either way it worked and the plastic panel fit back on no problems.definitely cured the problem and tightened the clamps really good.good luck with that.
