Grantman, Just remember, you don't have to take the first offer that the Insurance Co. gives you. It is their job to pay you the least amount possible. If they low ball you, you can negotiate. When my Z burned up, they offered me $1,900, which was the blue book value back then. After 7 yrs of restoration, I had about $10K into the car, and I had pictures and loads of receipts to prove it. Show them ads in Hemmnings for comparable cars. In my case, I ended up with $6,900, which I figured would have been the most I could have gotten by trying to sell the car. Just be firm, but nice. If they think you are just a jerk trying to get rich from the accident, they won't want to help you. Good luck! Marty
