Drain gas tank..?
Mine had been stored longer and I drained the tank (disposed the petrol at local landfill for free) then had the gas tank soaked in a caustic bath and relined. Do you know if your tank was placed into storage with some gas stabilizer? My car was not stored properly and I wasn't taking any chances. You're better off knowing your gastank isn't the problem from the vary start of your project in my opinion. My 78 and your 76 are EFI and will not tolerate junk in the petrol.

What worst car have you bought ever?
I had an 1982 Mazda 626 Automatic (only Auto I've ever owned), gutless, malfunction plagued; it was even yellow to match it's lemony character.

Light turn signal switch
I'd lay you odds it isn't the switch, I have fixed connections to repair my low beams and my right turn signal and they were both in the connection boxes at the passengers feet; really smart to put those connections down by your girlfriends feet. PLEASE CHECK THESE CONNECTIONS FIRST!

No Low Headlight Beam Function
I had a poor c-2 connection of the rb wire at the junction under the passenger's feet for the same exact thing no low beams. I jumped it because that c-2 connection isn't very user friendly. There's 3 of us that had the bad rb wire and no low beams on different posts.

My lights suck.
Fusible link is for both high and low beam lights, if the high beams are ok then it's not the fusible link. I tried removing fusiblel link and neither high or low would work in 78 z. I say it pretty much has to be the switch, I cleaned mine and the low beams work intermittenly now.

240Z Combo and T/S switch repair Service
If you tear apart and operate by hand the teeter portion of the dimmer switch, the high beams work, but nothing from low beams. I disconnect the ground the high beams go out and reground on steering column and they come back on, nothing from low beams either way. Does anybody have any advice or suggestions?

Whats your fuel economy?
I filled up last week and only got 17.5. I got 23 on 240 mile tank with 200 miles on freeway (some in gridlock). I just plugged the egr valve and I'm replacing the old vacuum lines. I'm only on the second thousand miles of driving a Z so I have some learning to do. I've been trying to keep the shift rpm down around 2500, but it does seem I'm always 10 miles over the speed limit. Hurry up and bid on this Ebay Gem!
My 78 280z was only $1000 and it had 37,000 miles on it. Mine isn't nearly as perfect as this one though. It really is perfect enough to save the pictures to use as a reference. Mine runs perfect and that's really what matters to me. (besides it's a 260; lowest horsepower Z and it's automatic making it even lower).

Fumes are Killing me
Amen to the fuel fumes. Mine leak was coming from the sender unit; I dropped the tank and had it boiled and the thing was leaking and dripping gas down the sides of the tank. My exhaust doesn't really smell but that fuel leak was overwelming.
