Is there anyway I could get a cad file of that as well? I am pursuing my BS in Arch right now and would love to throw an accurate rep of the Z in my presentations.

Hey gang, Texasz is right on, the wiring harness loom was taken off and the harness split into two. the headlights, signals, horn and temperature run through the now non-functional passenger fresh air duct. The ignition, starter and alt all run from a new hole/grommet that I placed in the trans tunnel about six inches forward of the trans mount. The wipers run up into the cowl from the interior, and the brake light warning and washer control run inside the cabin and through an already existing hole were the choke cables go. All in all, three wires had to be cut and extended, its turned out to be easier than I thought. The battery cables run through the same hole in the trans tunnel and then along the tunnel and under the seat. The battery is a odyssey PC680 dry cell thats only 3.5 tall while on its side and only weighs 15 pounds. I also built my own fuse box using the newer style ASO fuses. From start to finish I have about 23 hours in just the wiring harness. On my next car I will probably go a little further and hide the harness a little better, I’m not disappointed in the way it turned out, but I think with double the time and a little more cash, I could have made it near impossible to find. (P.S. my next car project will have to wait till I am out of school ) Right now I’m still using all my available time to work on the car, I will be putting the near final touches on the bodywork tomorrow and adding a fresh coat of primer. After that I’m going to re-install all the interior bits and hopefully it will look better for prospective buyers. We shall see. thanks for the compliments, feel free to ask anymore questions, or stop on by and poke around.

yes that CR is about right. most modern turbo charged apps run a CR somewhere in the 8s. but they do that with modern fuel injection and intercooling. if you where to try and raise the CR of a stock 280ZX turbo into that range without intercooling or better fuel managment you will run into some problems. add an intercooler to the mix and you will be better off..but still limited to around 10psi (this is a very bad guess on my part. considering that all turbo motors will react differently depending on timing/load/temp/ICeff./fuel rating etc. take what i say with a grain of salt.) add progrmable FI, forged pistons, and a good FMIC. and a 8.8 ratio should be no problem. and then you have a major rebuild....and in that case..you might as well build a 3.1:ermm: :classic:
