  1. Cleaned up the choke/hand throttle. As well here is a pic of it all hooked up to the gas petal.
  2. I used a heavy rubber mat with a foam backing, it is a bit on the thick side and was hard to fit in places. I bought it at Princess Auto which is a lot like a Harbor Freight here in Canada. As well here is the Drivers side all done.
  3. Installed one of my homemade firewall insulators. As well the tunnel vinyl is in.
  4. Here is a photo of the extra larger ones I have on the right. Are they for a 280?
  5. I took it here. They are based in Wetaskiwin and I was told they do work for the Reynolds-Alberta Museum. The owner Randi did the paint. Historic Restorations for all your restoration needs

Too bad they do not sell the ashtray as well.
  8. I picked it up at a swap meet back when I thought the car I would be restoring was a 73, but alas it too far gone to restore. I will have to find a 70 plate.
  9. Drivers door all trimmed out and glass in.
  10. A nice little pile of goodies from nix240z to fill up the stocking with.
  11. Finally got the hatch area done. Decided to use the MurderMat product in the cabin area. The 40ib kit seems to be enough to do the floors and the inside of the doors.
  12. So, I have a rear sway bar and a 1" front sway bar that I bought a long time ago. At the time "cornering like it was on rails" sounded like a good idea. Now that I am putting my car back together I wonder if there is much to be gained by doing this. The car will be a weekend driver and the odd trip to ZCON ( I hope). My days of spirited driving are long gone. Is this still a good idea or will it the suspension be too stiff to enjoy the ride?
  13. Hatch glass in and all sealed up. Bumper on and thought i would hang the muffler to see how it looks. Back end almost finished.
  14. Marc: The clips are the ones in the second photo in this post. Classic Zcar Club - Hatch Vent Trim Installation
  15. Marc: Thanks for the offer, I am looking for the u shape clips that hold the ducts in place and the barrel clips on the vents push into. Dan
  16. djwarner: Yes those are what I am looking for. The part number is 90829-E4100 based on a old post. Dan
  17. I am in need of four clips, does anyone have a source for these or something close? Or 4 spares collecting dust? Dan
  18. Worked on the back end today. Going to try installing the hatch glass tomorrow.
  19. As promised an update of the progress. Almost done the engine bay. Gas tank is installed.
  20. e-tek No no not to much, I was happily agreeing with you. EuroDat Sort of, my first Z was a 1973 daily driver from 1987 to 1989. This car I've only owned for about three years.
  21. Yeah, that's what I meant. The gas cap is from a 73 Z and was chromed.
  22. Nice: Looks like a good place to spend the winter.
  23. Had to put one little dab of bling on the car. The gas cap had to go on the car, it was a gift from a good friend over 25 years ago. Finally got a car to the stage that I could put it on.
  24. And so starts a long winter of re-assembly photos.
  25. Saved the best rad out of all my parts, took it to the rad shop and core is shot. I got them to put a new core in. He did a three row. Looks great but is a bit heavier than the old one.
