  1. Both, it was glass bead blasted then etching primer and painted with high temp alum paint.
  2. Car is going to final paint next week, working on the motor. Some parts ready to go back on.
  3. Oh yah we are still on, but I might not be still living in Alberta by then, just a longer drive for me.
  4. It might be a weathershield brand, I had one on a car that I was going to restore but had a way to much rust once I took it apart. It turned into a parts car. Your car is very nice. here is a link to when I asked about mine. I wonder if the car that is talked about is yours? http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/interior-s30/28490-weathershields-sunroof.html
  5. E-tek: I had to buy one fender and ordered it from the local Nissan dealer. I think it was around $180 and I just picked it up at the parts counter with no shipping cost. Dan
  6. Couple of update photos from the bodyshop. Getting closer.

Dan
  8. Yes it does look like it is OEM from that photo, the motor has a cast date stamp of June 26, 1970 and the build date of the car is Aug 1970
  9. Started cleaning up the engine and when I removed the fan pulley this water pump was under. Is this OEM? I have had a few engines apart and never seen one like this.
  10. Bryan: No everything under the cowl was dry and just light surface rust.
  11. Well, very excited the car got picked up today. Now to clean out the garage, organize all the parts I have tucked away and wait for it to come back home.
  12. Very nice work and post. And you are welcome.
  13. You should come up here for this auction, this guy donated his whole car collection to a local collage to auction off as a fundraiser. I count three E's in the bunch. Have no idea what they will fetch or condition. J.C. (Jack) Anderson Auto Auction - VehiclesMar2013 - a set on Flickr
  14. And the old girl is standing on her own for the fist time in almost three years. Body shop picking it up next week and will get it back in about a month.
  15. Dan: Thanks for the link, when I did a search that thread did not show up. I think you are correct that it did not have any decals. I think I will go with that. Travel'n Man: Thanks, but no info in that thread to help me with my question. Closest is the post about the 69/70 hood sticker, but I do not have a air pump. Dan
  16. siteunseen: thanks, but I trying to find out what is correct for my car. Everyone is selling the same one and I do not have Adjustment Screw "C" on my carbs.
  17. I am starting to gather all the bits for re-assembly and have a question about the engine bay decals. The car is a 1970 shipped to Canada (S/N HLS30UN006513), so it is a non-emission set-up car. My question is "what are the correct decals for the air cleaner box and the under side of the hood"? Are the ones that are sold by various suppliers for a 1970 correct? Thanks Dan
  18. More stuff back on, the flash sure shows the dust on everything. And all most ready to drop it down on its feet.
  19. Yes we might be able to met at the border this summer. It is a skid pan, I pulled it off a car at a auto wreckers in of all places Prince Albert, picked up a new working complete antenna from the same car.
  20. Thanks, Blue. I would have missed that. Now to find that wee lil' spring.
  21. Quite enjoying putting stuff back on the car.
  22. Finished the back end, looks like it will be going to the painters in a couple of weeks. Had to see what putting something back on the car felt like. I am going to spend the next while putting the suspension back on and letting the old girl stand on her own feet.
  23. When I was sanding the engine bay what I thought was rock chips that had rusted turned out to be a lot of rust hiding under a repaint. So had to strip it all and treat the surface rust. The first two are what the rust looked like, the next two are after all of the stripping and then after the first coat of etching primer. Some day this will all come to a end.
  24. Richard: I agree with LeonV it sounds like the outer sleeve is still in the arm. If not bring it back and we will dig another one out of the pile. Dan
