  2. We normally get from April to Sept/Oct every few years this happens in May.
  3. Does anyone know what brand of springs these are? The specs are : Length 12 7/8 thickness 0.440 12 3/4 0.440 12 3/8 0.461 12 3/8 0.461 I bought them in 84 and were never put on a car. The invoice just says "4 springs". There are no markings anywhere on them. And for all of you who are already driving this year, yes the photo was taken today.

    So I was down at the local dealer this weekend checking out the 370Z. I have to say that I like the looks of it. The way things work I should be able to afford a 2009 in 2045 when it is a 36 year old car just like the one I have now.
  5. John: I just checked with my local dealer and there were 10 sets in Calgary today, so I bought 2 sets, one for myself and another set for anyone who wants them. The dealer here does not offer any club discount so I paid 377.38 plus 18.87 tax for a total of 396.25 cnd. or 324.52 us for a set. They will be delivered on Wed. I will PM you as well. Dan
  6. So I agree that the body of this light is for a market that requires a separate bulb for the parking light, but everything I read points to each having a different color bulb and a clear lens. Why would this light have two bulbs and a amber lens so both are the same color? Dan
  7. I wonder how it ended up on one of the cars I have stripped, I did not keep track of which of the four it came from. The divider is quite rusted, i suspect it is because there was no light socket in the second hole to stop the water from getting inside.
  8. So it is way too cold to work in my garage this week, so I opened a couple of part boxes to fix/clean/sort parts that I will use. While trying to piece together a pair of signal lights out of all the sad broken sets I have I came across one that is not the same as the rest. As seen in the photos it is the right one which has two bulbs and a divider between each half which fits into a slot on the lens. It has a IKI part number 3031 and the rest are 3005.
  9. I took mine all apart and varsol washed everything. Glass bead blasted all of the outside parts. Repacked the internals and repainted the blasted sections. It was very easy to do. This is what they look like now. Dan
  10. Bob: I am sure the only difference is the hazard switch, My 72 parts car has the toggle type and the 73 has the green lighted pull out type. Oh and as well the wiring harness will be different. Dan
  11. Arne: After looking at the pics, I would agree that cutting above the seam would be the best way to go. Cutting the skin off right at the original seams was by far the hardest part of removing the roof skins. I did drill a few holes to use as weld spots on the seam of the replacement so I think it will be stronger than a butt weld. Time will tell if any stress cracks show up in the paint. Dan

  13. After following the work Arnie had done to his car, I thought I would give it a try.:nervous:I removed the roof skin that had a sun roof and replaced it with one from a donor car. It went very well and only a day to complete. The first photo is of the sunroof on the car, second one is with the skin removed and the third is the "new" skin on the car. All that is left now is the rocker panels, floorboards, lower rear 1/4's, small parts of the firewall, spare tire well, and front rails.
  14. Joce: I would be interested in the lower front sections of the inner and outer rocker panels (the area you called the doglegs) for both sides. Z137, if you want we can share the shipping costs and I can come down to calgary and pick it up. Dan

  17. Dave: The switch that I posted that came out of a 6-71 has the long TS lead. Dan
  18. Dave: I had to get something out of the car, so I grabbed to switch. Here are a few photos of the 71,72 & 73 next to each other. The 71 & 72 look very much the same as far as the wiring and switches, you can see the different switch on the 73 as well as the connector. I did notice that the white icons and lettering on the controls is different for each year. Hope this helps. Dan
  19. Dave: welcome, you will find this is by far the best site for help, information, ideas that you will come across. I am restoring a 73, have a rusted out 72 and have stripped two 71's for parts. It looks like we could possibly do some part trading sometime. Dan
  20. What is the build date of your switches pictured above me? I know you have or have owned a 71' and 72' and a 73'. But which ones which. Dave: I named the photos with their build date. First two are 6-71, next two are 7-71 and last two are 5-73. I have one for a 4-72 but it is still on the column under a tarp and in the car full to the top with parts. Let me know if you need that one I can possibly crawl into the car and pull it out. Dan
  21. Flames are going all the way this year!! I've scored a set of flames tickets to the first round, so I'll be cheering them on.
  22. Arne: I have a sun roof that I want to replace as well, photos of the work as it is being done would be great.
