did you do your own paint?

I live in Woodland/sacramento and I am 90% sure I want to paint my z (painted houses for years)My dad left me his Z that he painted (single stage paint) however the body work was done in a hurry and now I want to start into it? I have bought books and read them through I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in being a protege/mediator/tech support befor I jump into this task? If you live in the area and have painted your z I would be interested in your knowledge and seeing what your finished product looks like. thanks Andy

I recently aquired a 70 240z. I know it has been tinkered on and its not stock. It has an E31 head (I know there rare,any info would help) and an N42block (was told it was a 260, I think its a 280 with that identifyer). I know the head is good to have although I don't know why. And I think that N42 means its an L28 block. Am I right??? It also has a 4bb holly, would I be better off rebuilding some su's until I can throw a tripple webber set up on it???? I am new to this, this is a hand me down project from my dad and he is no longer around, so now I have questions!!! any info would be good!

I thought that what it was just unsure! saw your home page pretty impressive. I will probably stick with a baseball bat and a six pack!!!

I don't know what I want to buy,because everytime I turnaround someone has got something diff. I just read an article that a guy had a 240 with 17 X9.5 inch rims with no upgrades other than I am assuming spacers. Is this a missprint everything in motorsport is a 7 inch rim. I like the look of the 16in pannasports, but for the same amount of money I could really get a nice tire/rim combo, I just don't know where the red tape is as far as how wide and tall I can go?? I haven't called motosport yet I'm sure they have some valuable info, just figured I would start here. Any information would be appreciated, applications that you have done that have worked successful ect. thanks
