  1. I am 5' 10" and have no issues with the new belts.
  2. Mike, Great point. After I read your post, I realized my wording was unclear. I should have indicated that my 1972 had the recess for the retractor unit, and in a perfect world, MSA's unit would fit in the stock recess. Thanks! Bill
  3. I Just installed the kit before Thanksgiving. Overall, I am happy with the kit, even though the retractor does not fit in the stock location. I can see your point about the rectractor touching the seat back if it is pushed all the way back. My original set was just too old and dirty to put back into a restored interior. Hope this helps! Bill

I recently sent $$ to EVILC(Clive) for a fusebox from a car he was parting out. As promised, the part was shipped to me after the recent Z convention. The part arrived, in the condition as Clive described. Thanks Clive! Bill
  5. I cast my vote for white. I had mine painted pearl white - a Mitsubishi pearl that, as my bodyshop man said, would not yellow with age. Good luck with your choice! Bill
  6. Can someone please help me with identifying the size and thread type of hardware needed for the armrestd and door pull handle? The kid who took apart the doors at the body shop didn't label anything:(....As always, Thanks! Bill

If you guys don't mind...I have a headlight question of my own. Ihe did a great recently had my combination switch and turnsignal switch rebuilt by Dave (Zs-ondabrain). He did a great job, but when I re-installed them back in the car, I had not headlights at all. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks!

Even though I do not know of any body shops in your area, I used a body shop in my area of Palm Coast. They are a bit slow and pricey, but they did a fantastic job - very detailed in their work, no shortcuts. If you are interested at all, just let me know. Bill
  9. Dave, I will take pictures of my 1/72 on Saturday, when my wife will bring the camera back from work. I will definitely buy one of your reconditioned units for my car. Thanks! Bill
  10. Does anyone have an extra "plug" for the second hole for a '72 thermostat housing? I have tired auto parts stores, hardware stores, plumbing stores etc... Thanks to everyone for your help!! Bill

Yes, it is an automatic. I was concerned about it working because the previous owner(s) painted the engine well with no regard to covering these types of things. The connector is also covered, and the connections inside are in need of cleaning. How can I tell if it is working properly? Thanks again! Bill

Can somebody please help me identify what may be some kind of relay on my 72. It is located in the engine compartment, under and to the left of the coil. It has a plug-in to the wiring harness that may or may not be part of the signal/hazard light harness. Thanks! Bill
  13. Thanks, Dave.
  14. I finally got my car back from the body shop after19 months...I have some electrical issues which I cannot figure out. After extensive use of the search option, I am stumped. Can someone let me know what the metal relays/flashers? are on the drivers side kick panel? One makes a crackling sound when I connect the positive battery cable (its not connected because there is a power drain). I greatly appreciate any help. Bill

Zak, Many of the repairs that have been made to my car are similar to yours. I guess I made a mistake by telling them to "take your time". The car was painted 3 months ago, and every time they get a fender bender in, the Z sits a bit. They are close, less than two weeks. Bill

Zak, It is always good to see some progress...my '72 is still at the body shop, approaching 18 months. I hope yours is done soon.
  18. What a fantastic job! would you mind sharing the tire size on the car with the Panasport wheels? Thanks! Bill
  19. Hello, Is the dash for the '72 still for sale? If so, what is your asking price? Thanks, Bill
