Hi all, im asking a question im sure 10,000 others have but i want a wicked front airdam/spoiler for my 240Z i am restoring and i have searched till im blue in the face. Why does no one make a great looking one?? I assume your running the original drive train L24 twin carbs points distributor etc... First thing is put an electronic distributor on it. There are several brands but the Bosch or Hitachi one off the L28 engines works well. It will create a stronger spark and allow the car to rev freely and give a better burn creating more horsepower right across the engine rev range, not to mention start better. From then it is endless you can put a high compression head on off one of the other engines or better still use a P90 head and shave it to up the compression from around 8.75:1 to 10.0:1 or better. However there are many things needed to do chain length sprockets clearances etc. Best to talk to a Z specialist for further info. Its crunch time i have to decided what engine to put into my 240Z its near completion on the body and chasis. I was wondering what all fellow 240Z owners are running in their cars what horsepower they are getting and how much did there engine setup cost??? I would especially love to hear from fellow Aussie drivers thanks guys!!!!

Hi guys just a question i have heard that a 69 240Z is the best one to own and a 73 model the worst. Can someone please tell me why the 73 is bad??? and what makes the 69 the best? Thankyou.....

Yep it will be the plastic bushes are flogged out and yes brass does work best i have made some myself been in there for 5 years and still going strong.....

I have found Penrite to be really good depending on how much work your engine has done HPR15 is good if it is rebuilt or low on miles where as if it has a slight oil consumption problem HPR 30 is better.....

Unless u have stripped it to bare metal how do u know it is rust free??? I bought the same model for $7500 supposedly never painted original condition no rust blah blah blah only to find it had been resprayed in acrylic recently and there was rust underneath hiding....... also as we would all say its worth how much the buyer wants to pay or its personal value is to you......

A mate of mine has a Datsun 1200 Coupe.... who would have thought a 120Y could look that good?????
