Its fascinating reading all the comments the Turbo guys wont change and neither will the NA boys.... but there is a well recognized Z dealer in Melbourne punching out 360bhp NA out of the L28 stroked to a 3.1 running Triple Webbers and by geez do these cars fly!!!! long live the NA!!!

My uncle was a very lucky man to purchase one of the first 240Z in Australia back on there debut release. Much to my dissappointment he never kept it cause a stupid sales person told him the bigger engine in the 260Z L26 vs L28 was more powerful blah blah blah so he traded it. The point to this story is out of the box 150bhp and 135mph by the speedo all day every day....................... Long live the Zed......................!!!!!!!!!!!

Its interesting to hear u say that i wondered why myself a car so low would blow around with a side wind the only thing i noticed was lowering it and putting a front air dam on helped mine to be more stable as has already been mentioned.....

I assume it is the model that only made it 6 hours into its first attempt at Bathurst but by that time had lapped every single competitor several times on a 2min plus a lap. The R32 is like owning the 240 of Zeds cooooool. So which will go faster and which will u want to drive? Good on ya mate cya!

Use the electronic igniton out of a 280ZX. It comes standard with the Hitachi set up. Use a 12V coil with this distributor

Question one: the gap between the grille and the front air dam is noticeable huh. The amazing part is it bothered me alot at the start but I am so used to it now that not only doesnt it bother me but I think it looks great. Heres to hoping you will get used to it too. Question 2: I braced my air dam by making a bar up and mounting it directly behind the number plate so you don't see the bolt holding it, the other end I screw into the radiator support panel. It holds as firm as can be now no flex at all. To stop the paint further cracking the best way is to put a 'flexible additive' into the paint so that it gives it elasticity.

High Zed Rally, it sounds as though you have replaced your MPH speedo is that how you know it will work?

Yep same here put in 240Z into AOL search engine and bingo.

Gee Im trying to remember without going out and measuring it again seeing how it is 3:45am, I believe there is 22.5 inches from centre of console to door sill. Depth is always a problem as the seats sit very low in the 240 and alot of other seats will increase your ride height and have your head hitting the ceiling. The only other alternative is to lower the seat rails in the car.
