Overcharging
Hi there, My 260 just had this very problem last week. Was charging at around 16.5V and frying the battery, red light staying on. I thought it was the Voltage REgulator as well but it turned out to be what they call the Rectifier. It is a small metal component inside of the Alternator. Replaced this part for $30 Australian and problem solved. Hope this helps See ya Go ZED..

Only 240's ?????????????
Bravo 6, Very good point you make. I have recently purchased my first 240Z. It had the original L24 in front of an auto. It is in the process of being totally gutted and rebuilt body wise. Apart from the import L28 I'm putting in it, it will run all standard 240Z equipment. Yes it is modified but I' am only taking the best out of each model and improving on the 240. e.g. electronic distributor and engine from 280. Is mine 'original' not by somes standards but all parts are from the 'Zed' family and I'm proud of it.

Headlight Problems
My 260 2+2 has just started doing this. However I have had heavy duty wiring put in around 6yrs complete with a circuit breaker and headlamp relays. My cousin is an Auto Elec but hasn't checked my car out yet. He told me it could be as simple as a faulty circuit breaker. Hope this helps........

So how much have you guys invested in your Zeds?
Dohc, I would think most Zed enthusiasts would agree that there is no such thing as a V8 Zed. But then again there is no such thing as a Turbo 240 or definetly GTR engine 240. What are we saying then, that maybe you just love the shape of the Zed and respect that but you love the note of a V8. I can understand exactly what u are saying, you want the best of both worlds. I'm finding I can't get anyone to agree on what colour I should paint my Zed alone, so I'm going to have to please one person then, ME enjoy it drive it and hope you get some support along the way. GO ZED.................

71 240z
Exactly............ please my only advise is don't get too excited. You can get easily burnt badly. Rust can cost so much to repair and unfortunately it can only be seen properly when the car is stripped bare. Make sure you take someone who knows the car well if you are a bit unfamiliar. Not only will u be upset if the car stings you but that lovely partner of yours will let you know all about it trust meROFL

00091 for sale
It looks like the only thing this car is being sold on is the early build date. As for my 2c I wouldn't spit on the 260 engine, with the longer conrods it doesn't rev nearly as well as the L24 and it has lost its originality if that is a word. It's body would have to be in very good condition. Do you want an early build date?

Only 240's ?????????????
2+2's huh, well while your ducking I'll say this, my first car was a 2+2 and I'm so used to the extra weight and length that I'm having trouble steering my 240 at the moment. The 2+2 is like a fairlane it is very predictable and slower to respond. The dam 240 when u have it in a tail slide snaps back so quick that you can go into an oppossite tail slide if your not right on the ball. No matter how far out the 2+2 goes it always comes back and with that extra time you can power slide it magnificently. It definetly and no one can argue this, ( I think! I hope) rides better on a long trip with the extended wheel base. Now quick it's my turn to duckLOL

So how much have you guys invested in your Zeds?
I've spent $11000 on my 260 2+2. $4500 on engine, g/box, clutch and carbies $3000 on respray - never done properly so I've found out $2000 on LPG $600 on carpet $1500 on stereo $400 wheels I wish it had of gone on my 240, because it is a vintage sports car now 25 yrs old, and worth doing up. I would go for it as you sound like u want to but need encouragement. I'm in the process of raiding all good bits of my 2+2 and putting it on my 240 I bought 3 months back. God ZED...........

Only 240's ?????????????
This is fantastic so many opions. Never heard of such die hard 280 fans before. Everyone loves there model and that's what makes it so great. If we didn't have different models we wouldn't be having this discussion. Long live the Zed. Zorroooooooooo.

new RB Zeds photo, but can't upload them, HELP!!!!
Photo Suite allows you to do just what the other guys have said. Using a lesser quality resolution is the simpliest way to reduce it to the 250k limit or else resizing it. Photo Suite is readily available at Harvey Norman's in Victoria.
