  1. This event was a real success....actually there were about 25 Z's that showed up that day. As a member of ZCCNE based upon the success of this event we most likely try it again next year and possibly expand it. Marc Moreau did an excellent job as event organizer. Paul Martin - thanks for the kind words....the lemon/lime VZ is mine. Jeff Mader

When I first started out in the Z game I used him a few times.....my main gripe is the shipping costs....many times they are more than the item itself. I try to avoid him at all times.

In the summer it's either my 1981 280ZX or my 1973 240Z......both automatics. In the winter it's a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
  4. I know what he's put into this car to get it running....and it's alot. I was bidding on this car and got to $20K and chickened out. It was probably a good move as I know the seller and to get it running took ALOT. It would basically idle for a bit and that's all. it has been brought back to life by this gentlemen and asking $29K is just about getting his money back. Jeff Mader
  5. Yes I am shipping to MA. FedEx seemed to be high at $2K. I also checked Direct Auto Transport and they were at $1600. I have a good friend that owns Minuteman Transport in FL. He will find me a carrier and he estimates $1300 -$1500. It would be to costly for him to go to NV and up to MA. I'll let you all know what the final price is. Jeff Mader
  6. Hi All, I bought the '73 240Z from this gentlemen today. It will be my daily driver (in good weather only of course). I think I did well on the price as he sold it to me for $16K. I spoke to many folks who had seen and or driven it and all the reports were good. I called his mechanic and verified work he said he had done....it all checked out favorably. Jeff Mader
  7. Thank you gentlemen....I appreciate the help and useful information. JTMader
  8. Hi Guys, I have been in touch with this guy. Offered him $15K based on what Carl has said. He has countered with $17K. He also gave me his mechanic's # for me to call. I am wondering what shipping from Vegas to Boston will be.....$2K?? Anyway, not sure where's it's going.....he is a firm believer that this is the nicest '73 in the country...WRONG!!! Jeff Mader
  9. What is the general rule for mounting tires? I know the wheels that require less balancing weights should go on the front (duh!) but should you care about which ones go on the "drivers" side vs "passenger" side? How about the rear?
  10. Yes these are good. I done business with reddat before and all his parts are orginal and NOS. The problem with him and why I don't use him anymore are his shipping costs are CRAZY. Check with him 1st on the shipping charges because he doesn't list it on alot of his items. Don't be surprised if it's $30!!!!!!!!

Mike....your #32 looks fabulous. The original blue is my favorite color (especially the ones with the blue interior). As the owner of #157 and 2 VZ's I can truely appreciate what you have done here. Hat's off to you! Jeff Mader Sudbury, MA

Jim...great collection! I saw it ALL first hand a week ago with Carl Beck and Chris W. It is as unbelievable as the pictures suggest but you have to see it in person to truely appreciate your collection. It was the best part of my vacation (don't tell my wife that!).....meeting you and Carl and seeing your cars. Thank again Jimbo. Jeff Mader

    My garage has a '70 green 240Z (#157), a '72 white 240 VZ, a '72 lemon/lime 240 VZ and an '81 280ZX...actually they are in a storage facility.....but I think of it as MY garage.
  15. I was in there for awhile with the bidding. I was willing to go to $21K but that was about it for me. The car went to a collector whom I have bought 3-4 cars from over the years. Recently I bought vin #157 32K miles and 2 VZ's (white and lemon/lime) from him. He is a good friend of mine. The '73 is in a good home. Jeff Mader Sudbury , MA jtmader:classic:

Does anyone know where the 2009 ZCCA Convention is in 2009. I know 2008 is in Cleveland, OH. Thanks.
  17. I know myself as an owner of a 1972 VZ (actually 37 produced) and an early (vin # 238)mint condition '69 production 240Z that I expect the value of these vehicles will dramatically increase in the next 5 - 10 years. I paid big dollars for these 240's (in the $30K range) but was presented with an opportunity to own them and couldn't pass it up. I hope the values do go up (as I promised my wife!) but like all of us I just love these cars and going on those Sunday morning drives. Jeff Mader (1970 240Z, 1971 240Z, 1972 VZ and 1982 280ZX Turbo)

Hello, I am Jeff Mader. I own 2 Z's - 1980 280ZX (white 30K miles) and a 1981 280ZX Turbo (silver 67K miles). The 1981 is currently up for sale (posted on this website). I have been a Z owner since the 1980's. I live in Sudbury, MA. Question - I think I'm getting scamed. Someone has responded to my classified (jm.crabown@yahoo.ca) and he claims he wants to buy it but it doesn't seem real. Does this happen a lot on this site??
