Our cul-de-sac just got plowed last night, took out my mailbox, too. Amazing how quickly you start to feel a little trapped without the ability to get out - only 2 1/2 days. And once again, I'm still lucky as my electric has stayed on, some 100k homes in our county were without, and still about 40k still waiting. Expecting 6-12+inches thru tomorrow.

After watching the Caps beat the Penguins:beer:, thought maybe that I could get the Trooper out (no go!). Under carriage got hung up on the deep snow. Main roads 2/3 clear according to the news, but plows have yet to reach subdivisions. Schools closed next 2 days. This has gotta hurt the super bowl business here locally. Oh yeah, just heard we have a 'winter storm watch' for Tuesday, maybe 5" more (just a dusting for you guys way north .

All you fair weather guys - don't need to hear of your 70 degree weather . When I had a snow plow, they used to say 'plow with the storm', so last night my wife and I 'shovelled with the storm'. This morning we gave that idea up, and just cleared pathways in our driveway and outback for the dogs. With 30 inches so far, its gotten a bit much. The 4x4's get stuck as the frames hang up on the deep snow and drifts, so I'm stuck here at home. Who else is homebound? At least the electric is still on - knock on wood! BTW, here in the mid-atlantic, weathermen usually talk about snow in inches. Yesterdays forecast they were saying we'd get 1-2 ft. Local news has been running allday, pre-empting everything else.

Try Kearney's Automotive @ 301-322-3240. They've been there over 30 yrs, the daughter, Linda, now runs the shop. They rebuilt my last rx7 engine w/porting about 15yrs ago, it still runs strong. They also worked on my Z the last 2 years for some electricals and most recently located and installed a used camshaft, rockers and lash pads because my external cam oil spray tube failed. Had me back up and running in 3 days. I was shocked it was that quick! The neighborhood isn't that great, but they are on an industrial street. PM if you would like a ride down there when you tow, if time permits I will accompany you, I'm just off of New Hampshire Ave. in SS.

Put a car cover on it if they haven't fined you already. Can't help you mechanically, but I can recommend a mechanic local if you can tow it about 20-25 miles. They've worked on my 71 Z, they used to specialize in them back in the day, but now have expanded to all makes.

I, too, had one in high school. Bought my 71 in 2007 from a fellow member here who contacted me. Be sure to inspect your prospective purchase firsthand as some ads and pics are misleading. I drove from Md to Fla to see one for sale and was disappointed when I got there. Post pics here and other members will give you pretty expert opinions on the car. Good luck!!

Just purchased a 91 300ZX 2+2. I was wondering if anyone here knows if the T-tops are interchangeable with the 2+0?

Does your guy only do the block print style? I had one on my 7 that looked just like the fender emblem badge - more of a script style. I purchased that one at the dealer in the early 80's.

I bought a set off of EBAY from Massey's. Take careful measurements of your cap and compare to the ones offered. The supplied screws didn't hold tight enough, so I'm still trying to find better ones.

I come here daily to read and learn on future problems that I may one day experience w/my Z. Luckily, I found my car here from a fellow member, and avoided a bad purchase w/insights and recommendations from members. I get a good laugh at the 2line expletive-flying insulting that goes on at some of the 'tuner sites', but the post doctoral snipeing here gives me a bit of a headache.

30 yrs later, I've still got a small scar on my leg from stepping out of a customized van w/sidepipes. I imagine the heat in the summer would get pretty bad too.

There's still a few Gen. Lees' left out there. Every fall I take a drive up to the Shenandoah Mts. for some fall apples and scenery. There she sits almost every year in Sperryville, Va. across from my apple stand. I've asked some locals and they say the owner of it was related to someone who worked on the show. It still looks pretty good!

I've got a 79 Rx7 w/ an 11/78 build date. No pass. side view came on it, though 2 years later I put one on because of bad blind spot caused by C-pillar.
