  1. Thanks for asking this question, I just picked a set of these myself and am ordering the AZC steering knuckle/bump steer spacer combo. I couldn't help but think that a stouter piece than stock without a bushing would beat the daylights out of the frame but Gabe says no and there's someone else on here or Hybridz has said he's had a set for a couple of years and they work great.
  2. It was down this morning, I'm relieved it's back up so I can spend money I don't have.
  3. Anyone else had issues getting to their website? www.arizonazcar.com

Mac and cheese with either hotdogs cut up in it or a can of Ranch Style beans with the onions in them. George Foreman was a great friend of mine too when I was single.

There was a point in my life where I could have afforded the "Porsche experience" but it just boiled down to how pissed am I gonna get when my car gets a door ding? I love 911s, the older ones especially but the "Porsche experience" tax just doesn't outweigh being willing to treat the car like a car at the level of discretionary income I'm prepared to spend for a weekend driver. When I hit the lottery, that may change, who knows?

  8. I also get, occasionally, "Daddy, can we go for a ride in your Z car?"
  9. Daddy, I love you.
  10. Desperate people do desperate things in desperate situations. Pick up a rifle and you change instantly from a subject to a citizen. Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician. Nothing draws attention like gunfire. A smart man only believes half of what he hears, a wise man knows which half. Once you get inside a Z, a Z will get inside of you.
  11. I love the 911s and the 356s but could never afford one unless my lottery luck improves significantly. http://www.themille.com There's a $30 entry fee (It's Porsche after all), but the opportunity to see all those Porsche's and talk to some of the old heads might make it worth it.
  12. It would have a 99.9% parts commonality with my '73 with a DOHC head and triples, modern ABS with Willwoods and modern paint and rust prevention!

Gorgeous car, good luck with sale, wonder what the next project will be.
  14. I saw a '71 for sale locally that an individual had paid close to $10K on EBay for, the drivers seat was bolted to the floorboard and the rear sway bar was literally bolted on backwards which I didn't think was possible.

I'm waiting for them to start selling little Z-car "Cars", they're selling Gremlins and Pacers for Chrissake!

The Japanese team's pitboss was an S30 with a huge rising sun on the side of it, drove my kids nuts pointing out the Zs.

Carry a cellphone, a charger and a good tow plan with your auto insurer and you'll be good to go!
  18. Of all things there's at least one individual who has a Fairlady Z here locally, I saw him and his wife (or girlfriend) in it at Waffle House and it's in great shape from 50 ft. I think there are maybe three in the state that I know of including this one. Whoever gets it, I hope it gets restored instead of crushed.

Can moisture get in between the sound deadening and the metal causing it to rust prematurely not unlike the jute? Just curious.
  20. Popped the valve cover, no visible damage, clean as a whistle on the valve train, replaced the distributor cap and rotor and fixed the god awful knocking on my #5 cylinder, now I've just got to figure out why it's running so rich.
  21. If the VIN is an early one it might be worth doing. If you're asking, it's probably out of your price or patience range.
  22. Misery loves company but remember, a bad day in Abq still beats a good day in Middle GA.
  23. Worked on the carbs last night, cleaned the fouled plugs and re-discovered it's running way too rich. Also found one of the steering boots is torn and what I hope was just water but may be a leaking head gasket...more meds please.
