Need someone to restore a 260.....any ideas?
Another option in Atlanta may be John Williams 770-806-2926. He did some/most of the work on a Z for Classic Motorsports magazine. http://classicmotorsports.net/project-cars/1970-datsun-240z/

Worst Paint Ever
At least you trust yourself to do the prep work. I'm contemplating a respray but will go with someone recommended by John Williams in Atlanta which will likely run me $4K when the body work is included.

Bull Run rally
I've wondered myself what might need to happen to get an S30 bodied Z on BullRun. Get an autocross driver to drive and one hell of a mechanic to navigate.

Belated Happy Birthday Dave, thanks for everything you do. You only turn 21 thirty or forty times so enjoy it.

L28- 3.1 Liter
John Williams might know 770-806-2926 or he might be able to call Sunbelt?

#83 IMSA 1992 Nissan GTP ZX Turbo for sale!
I saw the Frisselle car at the Mitty a couple of years ago and it is a beautiful car that's for sure. As it turns out, one of the 300Zs and one of the GTP cars that Nissan used to run were there as well.

If you did not have your Z....
I would want a 911 but probably couldn't afford one. I would probably get an FB or FC RX-7.

Might be going to Germany, should I take the 240?
I was thinking along the same lines but if I leave it at home, no wear and tear and it's in the garage.

Might be going to Germany, should I take the 240?
I'll find out next week whether I'm going to Geilenkirchen Germany this summer for 3 years. I'm thinking about taking the 240 as a second car to commute to work in. It's reliable enough to be a 3-4 day a week daily driver and would be alot of fun on the back roads. I'll have access to USPS but am curious how active the Z car club in Germany is and how hard it is to find mechanics who work on older cars.

What Other Z/Datsun would/do you own and why?
A '73 Skyline GTR would be what I would want.

Tried to convince my wife to conceive our first child in the Z...no dice.

L28 Engine/Shop Recommendation
Check out www.zhome.com, then go to "Modifications for more power" on the right hand side, there are several articles about building a stroker motor that may be enlightening.

L28 Engine/Shop Recommendation
There are probably a variety of places to do it but the gold plated solution on the East Coast is Sunbelt in Atlanta. Do a search or 3.1 and see what pops up.

Maybe a dumb question.. snowboards?
Buy an old Subaru Brat. They're classics in their own right, have four wheel drive and the ones that haven't rusted away can be had for a song.

Roberts Competition's Exhaust
I remember ordering those catalogs out of the back of Road and Track...wish now I had tried harder to get some parts out of them.

Greg Ira E Prod. 240Z Runoffs thread!

National Z Convention History
So how about one of the next two that haven't been scheduled in Portland or Seattle since there hasn't be one in the Northwest? Rainier, the Oregon coast, great tracks, Willamette Valley, catch a Seahawks game, sounds like a blast.
