Stumped in New Mexico
I had a 260 with an electric and a mechanical fuel pump on it. Went to Yellowstone (7500 ft), vapor lock, fuel starvation, bought an electric fuel pump to replace the one by the tank which apparently hadn't been working and that seemed to fix things. It seems heat from the exhaust manifold and elevation were preventing enough fuel from getting to the carbs even though I could see fuel getting pumped in to them, it apparently wasn't enough. I'm presuming you only have a mechanical fuel pump?

What have I gotten into?
You're right, for having been in Michigan the car looks great, if you can move it, I would spend $20 on some cleaning materials and a couple of hours detailing the interior, engine bay and just trying to get the dirt and accumulated Michigan off of it. have you gotten underneath the car? I would look in the spare tire bay too as water will collect there. As to what it's worth, it's worth what someone is willing to pay when it is to be sold, I'm thinking the engine may need at least a ring job, valve adjustment maybe and a standard tuneup, how does it run? I'm active duty USAF for the last 21 years, what's your son going to be doing after basic?

CarCast Newman
I listen to his podcast and of every car he's profiled after the show I still don't think he's done an S30 or a 240. I keep waiting for it to happen.

I know this may sound odd but while you're enjoying their advertisement etc look at how many of their cartoon characters are anatomically correct, they do that more than we do for some reason.

warning about hybridz
I'm having the same problem with Avast and hybridz and have been for awhile, I'm hoping an update to their software will cure it as I've been away from hybridz for way too long.

Retro car kings segment on fairlady z
His race Z looked incredible, I wish more had been done on his segment and less on Rocky Auto, he was an artisan, not a restorer. The segment on RWB was pretty interesting too.

Big Cottonwood Canyon Photoshoot and Near Disaster
Might be elevation and heat, I had what I thought to be vapor lock in the center part of Yellowstone whereas I didn't have a problem down at Jackson Lake Lodge and in the valley. Got a tow, put an electric pump on to augment the mechanical and no more problems.

Fuel Pump for Triple Webers
If you have a 260 it also has an electric pump by the tank, is that working? Do you have a heat shield for your triples? I live in GA and it gets so hot the car can stumble at idle if I'm sitting at a light for a long period of time but I only run a Carter electric at the tank. Sometimes I let it run for 10 seconds or so before cranking when it's hot but sometimes I just have to crank it until it starts. Depending on the elevation I've had problems too, Yellowstone in the summer with only a mechanical fuel pump didn't work for me.
