I have a 78Z and I struggled with the same problem for years. Only good thing is that I have MANY new parts due to troubleshooting. I finally changed out the ECU and success!! Wish I would have done it years ago! I put in a used one from "The Z Barn" for about $75.They are great if you have never used them. Good luck

I purchased a full set of seals for my 78'Z from Motorsport. I only installed the door seal on the drivers side because it seemed too thick. I have to slam the door really hard to close it tight and the road noise is more than before. I was hoping that over time, it would compress. It has been 6mo. and no improvement. Does anyone have any tips. thanks

Thank you all for your info and friendly banter. I have a very similar problem and just made a posting before reading this one. You guys definitely know more about Z's than I do, so I am taking your advice on diagnosing my 78'

Please help!! I've had this prob for several years, so I will try to give an explanation and list of the things I've tried to remedy the problem. 78Z that is running great except after 20-30 mins of driving it will just stall for no apparent reason and at any speed or idle. After stalling it usually takes 15-20 mins to restart although it cranks fine. Fuel is clean and pressure is good. New air/flow meter, water temp sensor and connector, new injectors, all new vacuum lines. After it stalls, the spark plugs do fire. Any help is greatly appreciated!
