My 280z won't start every time in the mornings for some reason. The car used to be a daily driver but know I only use it on weekends .i'd tried to take it to work some days but it wouldn't start. by the way I start work at 2:30am so it's a little cold. The funny thing is that if I try to turn it on after 12:30 am when the sun is full the car turns like a champ. I'm confused does the car have it's working hours;)

I got a question that's off the subject. Reply if u want. Yesturday my alternador went out . So I replaced it and now my car won't start. I checked about everything that I can think of. My car will start but dieout in a second. I check, spark, fuel pump, fuel pressure, efi relay , ecu,.and by the way my injectors have no power. If it's not efi relay or ecu what??????

Draztik280 , I will post pictures for everyone to see. Hopefully by Tuesday. My rims Are getting powder coated . When i purchased the rims they had only silver so I got them painted black middle polished lip.

From the looks of it 215/50/r16 it is. Let's see what happens

The rims are 0 offset.70 cam guy ur right about the coil overs. I'm lowering the car a little too. And I don't want to have problems after.also how did u pay for the general exclaim uhps and from where.

Just got A set of 513s XXR and need tires for them. I would Have got the tire rim package but I'm debating on 205s or 215s. The shop owner said 205/50/r16 would fit perfect but 215/50/r16 can also fit. He didn't know how much would 215 affect the ride.if anyone has an idea, recomend, or thoughts let me know. To tell u the truth I really like 215s( if they fit).

my 78 280z recently started to lag when starting, it would take 2-3 turns of key to start. But know it just dosent start. If I use starting fluid it starts right up. Once the car starts it dosent turn off, but the car feels a little shakey in first unless I really push on it. A friend told me it could be a bad injector if so how can I check witch one. has anyone had a similar problem.

If I get the l28 et I would need what. I'm talking about electric.fuel pump ect.harness???

I'm having problems finding a half deasent turbo L28. I'm thinking of converting my L28 into a turbo. There's a guy selling a 83 l28et without the block and head. So my question is, what do I need to convert it, and would anyone recomend it.

Beandip, as your question about the headlights. The drivers side is dimmed out, I replace the bulb but it stayed the same.

My car does not turn on by turn of the key . I'm able to turn it on by bypassing the starter. I changed the key switch but no answer. When I turn the key it makes a little click by the fussible links. The car works well , but I hate jumping it everytime I drive it.

I don't know if they came stock on it. But it looks like they weren't custom. I upgraded the speakers thats why it has that grill. And yes there in both sides.

next are 16x8 xxr 513 and i also have a set of american racing that were in a 75 280z that im getting painted flat black

those are 4 inch speakers. they were there when i got it. thanks for fixing the pics

i finally got some pictures. if u seen any of my post i never had pic , well here are some.its not yet done but here it is.interior was all redone, viper red paint, zg mirros, msa air dam, home made custom grill. feel free to comment. ps who said 2+2 dont look good

Drilled and installed . Looks like the measurements were it, but the mirrors don't really give a great vision but it's ok. Thanks guys.

I have a pair of replica fender mirrors and need the measurements to start drilling the holes. Does anyone have the measurements for a 78 280z 2+2.

I'm also looking for a muffler. My 78 280z has the full msa dynomax exhaust. Since I replaced my bumpers and shaved the rear know I have about 8 inches sticking out. I could always cut the pipe and shorten it, but the car has a meaner look and I want a muffler that would go with it. I was thinking apexi,dynomax turbo and also megan has a muffler that I see alot at the Z shows. Any suggestions.

I bypassed it and it worked. Know how can I get the reverse lights to work. Another thing I notised it jerks a little when I shift gears, a friend told me it could be the diff stabilizer or bushing. ( not really shure).

just finish putting the 5 speed into my car today and the car feels great. But , there's a little problem. I was not able to figuere out how to make the car turn on. I was able to run the car by using the starter, but how do I fix this.second, I left the auto diff, any coments on this.

might be harder but that a thought. Most conversions I see have been with 73s . I wonder if it makes a difference. I got this one and some how it's fitting.

I just got a 1970 240z bumper but it seems that it's a little bigger. When I center it, there's about 3/4 of an inch on both sides. Do I have to cut and reweld or bend a little.
