  1. my 78 280 cranks up good and turns over with no problem at all. but once the car warms up it dies ramdomly with warning. the easily turns on after, but the car will do this about a few more times and then will stay on.once i fill that its good i will drive it for a while but ramdomly again will die. i took it to a specilst but he told me it ws my AFM connections were corroded and causing the power to be cut. i clen it out nd it seemed better, but soon it happend again. my other option is my gas pump but how can i check it, does anyone have suggestions on what can it be and how you check the gas pump. HELP!!!! 0

  7. it is a street car. and i have also heard that it can be a pain in turns. then what is it mainly use for, drag, drifting.
  8. does anyone know what is that you weld in the differencial to make it positive tracion. and can this cause a problem. does anyone have a picture of how it looks were the welds go.i plan on doing it myself. or should i let a experience person do it.

  10. when i turn the key it makes a clicking sound, but that it. does not crank
  11. my 78 280z recent started giving problems starting it up. i would have to turn the key about 5 or more times until it finally crankt. but only work for a while, now i have to started by bypassing the starter. i recently changed the starter so i dont believe it that. a friend told me that it could also be the neutral switch but at this point dont really know.
  12. i have a stock L28, but i been loocking for L28T from a ZX for my 78 280z. i heard that it better to add a turbo to the stock L28 that swap it for the L28T . if so can anyone give me any suggestions. for example, pricess of the two , power from the two. any help is great.
  13. im driving my z there its not in show conditions, far from it actually. i still love it an will still drive it there.

  15. my thought is the xr7000 because the coil sparks continousely on ON, but would suddenly stop.
  16. i just replaced the flowmeter and battery after doing that the injectors would start clicking when the switch was in ON.before the car was turning on but would shut down fast, someone told me that it might be the flowmeter so i changed it.i recently came back from vacation and the first day back was the day i changed them. this wasn't happening before,also i heard it raind a lot and i think my xr7000 might of got wet. has anyone had this problem or have an idea what could it be.also the distributor gives spark while the switch is in ON.

    i always wanted a coupe zed, but i have a 2+2. i love my Z but cant find the perfect look for it. for..example. bumper,air dams ect.. some people tell me coupe always, but theres some that say they rather have a 2+2. what you think. and i whant to hear also from a 2+2 owner and if you have pictures even better.

I'm gonna start from the beggining from were it all starterd.about a few months ago my turn off randomly. i couln't find the problem till i fount out that ignition system(xr 7000) was bad so i replaced it and it ran good. so about a month ago i did a tune up oil, spark plugs, filter. and the day after car started miss firing and the exhaust smelled like gas. the car turns on well but after a few seconds the RPM drops to ZERO while the car is still on, soon after it dies. i had many suggedtion like flowmeter, sparkplugs,timing, computer. i'm really comfused can anybody help me. by the way its a 78 280z.
