Downtime 12/21
I agree with the above. I was unable to get to the site for 3 days and started to get worried, . Even though I am rather new, I have noticed that you guys have something special here, and I plan on donating to the cause. I do belong to a couple of car boards, but this is by far the more helpful boards around. You have some folks here that actually make me chuckle out loud, no easy task, and also offer some good sound advice. Kudos too you and everyone who contributes.

Just a quick "Hello"
Since you asked Beandip, I have my eye on this one, perhaps it's been on here before and someone has an inside scoop on it. I'm going to ask for engine and chassis photos. The door jamb striker appears to be green, meaning obvious repaint, correct? I'll be asking when and why. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?paId=135265601 Rick: , she is a 'Sheila' by name only, she's pretty much full Irish, please keep me in your prayers

Buying used "check list"
Thanks all for the help and 100% agree with you Arne. My dream Z would be a stock 70 or 71 with black or tan interior, stick (ok w/5 speed upgrade) that I might upgrade slightly to make it more friendly driving, taking suggestions. Four wheel disc ....... is this do-able? Might have asperations for possible weekend solo racing in the future. A clean stock Z, I don't ask for much, . Thanks gang

Buying used "check list"
Being a new member, I did the customary search for a "check list" on buying a used 240. I would have thought that there would be a sticky somewhere on this but I'm not seeing it. I have come across a few things such as, checking the dog legs, main frame rails, looking under the carpet and the infamous spare well. Looking for a Z is why I joined the site, to do research. If there is no such thread, maybe some of the veteran members could help this new guy out, or point me in the right direction. With enough input, possible make a sticky with this info. Great site with great members, thanks for any help you can offer. If there is a thread out there with all this ........ ignore the above mention

Just a quick "Hello"
My name is David (Dave) and I am currently doing lots of reading/research on the 240 so I can avoid noobie mistakes when I finally purchase one of these gems. My late father raced the 240 and 260 in scca events and even let me be a parking lot "co-driver" so these cars are very close to my heart. Just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to chatting with you folks.
