Oh yeah. Another thing I forgot to mention. When I turned on my headlights for the first time, the went on then like died out. Like faded off. Thanks.

My car won't even try to start. Please help.
I am not sure if this is a wiring problem, or something else. When I turn the key to start the car, the accessary relay clicks. But that's it. The car doesn't try to turn over or anything. To drive the car home, we had use the flathead screwdriver trick, where you stick it between the two bolts on the starter. It took a long time, but eventually it started. I have replaced the battery cables, and I'm checking some of my grounds now. Nothing seems to work though. Any ideas on what is wrong? Could it be a bad starter, relay or ignition? Is it just bad wiring somewhere? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Mauisnow13

New to the forum. Bought a 1970 240z. Told you guys would like it.
The guy that swapped the engine was the guy that owned the car before the guy I bought it from.

I found the engine number. I found out he had swapped the engine for a L26. The engine number is L26-110610.

The engine number on the tag is L24-3994. The number stamped however is E88. I had been told the engine was swapped in with a GoldStar Remanufactured one. It has the GoldStar labels on the side of the engine. The Z on the B pillar is the solid chrome.

The B pillar emblems say 240z. The seats are not 240z seats. They are later seats that were thrown in there. Not even bolted down. I believe they are out of a 280zx or something. I'll check the engine number later today.

I just found the guy with the Laurel. He's from Eagle I guess. The Laurel is up for sale on Ebay. So, not Kim, but Kim is still good for parts and help. I've never heard of the guy from Eagle.

Yes there is. It is most likely Idaho Z Car. He has tons of Z's. I know I can find a bunch of parts from him. He has like and acre or more of just Z's. He owns a chevy 350 conversion pushing about 500hp. I got to rev it. Gave me chills. He also has a convertable, and a bunch of others. His name is Kim. Nice Guy. (BTW, my Z is a She.)

Thanks guys. I was pretty excited too. My plan is to just get it into my daily first. Then slowly restore it. The engine is a rebuilt from Japan I think. It has a goldstar label on the side. Don't know what that means but it said from japan and I think it said rebuilt, so I'm guessing. haha. The rust isn't too bad, some small holes. I'm planning on just cutting out around them and welding in new sheet metal. The driver's side seat brackets are a bit busted and I'm not sure how to fix it yet but I've been searching. Thanks for the input. give me more if you've got it. Mauisnow13

I've been a member of HybridZ for a while and was just told by administrator there to tell you guys about my new Z. He said it was a early and rare car and people on this forum might enjoy it. It is a 1970 240z that has a VIN # of HLS30-01542. It was made in 1/70. I got it for $200 and drove it home fine. It has some wiring issues so as the key won't start it, and the lights are all kinda screwy. I plan on restoring the Z. Don't have much money since I am in high school, so I'll be taking it one step at a time. I took some cell phone pics when I got it home. Tell me what you guys think.
