Help identifying a front spoiler
Thanks for all the response guys. I'm not a big fan of making fiberglass parts -- that's why I built a metal airplane! However, I have done quite a bit and may have to do this one on my own. I'll have to talk to Les and see what his time frame is. I didn't even notice the "beak" in the middle until I saw esprist's pictures, so thanks for posting those.

Help identifying a front spoiler
I picked this picture off the Arizona Z Car web site. I really like the front spoiler and am trying to identify who makes it. I'm pretty sure the car belongs to Will Robertson in Scotland. I've left a couple of emails for him, but so far no answer. So if you know who makes this spoiler, I'd like to know! Thanks.

Complete floor carpeting a 240Z
So I'm not a big fan of the vinyl that was on the floor in my '72 240Z. Plus I want to change the interior color from burgandy to black. I've already ordered the plastic pieces, now I need to get carpet. I want to carpet the entire floor right up to the door sills, wheel wells, shock towers, transmission tunnel, etc. I still want access to my tool doors as well. I've looked at the various kits (and searched the previous carpet posts), but can't get a definitive answer on what to order. I'll call some of the carpet suppliers (MSA, C&H, Black Dragon), but I would like to know if anyone has done what I'm proposing? I've been told the 240 and 260 bodies are "essentially" the same. Does that mean a molded carpet kit for a 260 will work in a 240? I see that MSA offers both a sectional carpet kit and a Transmission Tunnel carpet for the 240Z, but there aren't any pictures of the latter, so I'm not sure what it all covers. Best case, I'd still be missing the wheel wells, below the doors and strut towers. So, if anyone has used a 260 molded carpet in a 240, or completely carpeted a 240, I'd appreciate your input, especially if you have some pictures. Thanks.

Kia Sportage weatherstip rocks!
Scored the weatherstipping from both doors off a 2002 Sportage. Tried several yards on Monday, two of which had no Sportages while the 3rd quoted $25 per side and I'd have to wait a half hour before somebody could go out in the yard with me. Yesterday, I went to the U-Pull-It yard in Arlington. Compared to the other yards where you are walking through a mud mine field, this yard was paved and pretty clean. Clerk said they had one Sportage but it was pretty stripped. Decided to take a look for the $1 entry fee. Both sides were still on the vehicle and in good shape so off they came. Went to pay for it and asked them how special they thought the weatherstripping was. The clerk quoted $1.50 a foot, looked at the pile in my hands, and said 5 feet! I wasn't going to argue. Checked a bit later and the two together add up to close to 20 feet. So with tax and the entry fee, $9.15!

Rotisserie Question
This is a question for those who have used a rotisserie with their Z's. I have a '72 240Z that I'm gradually stripping down. I plan to take everything off the body (if it isn't welded, it's coming off!) and then mount it to a homemade rotisserie. I have a bar bolted to the bumper mounts in the back and will mount the front bar to the bumper mounts in the front. At least I think they are the bumper mounts. The car didn't have the bumper mounted when I bought it. Can anyone tell me where the vertical center of gravity of the car is? How far above the rear bumper bolts should the center of rotation be? Same question for the front. Thanks.

Wiper operation question
Thanks guys. I tore the whole thing apart and couldn't see how it could work any other way than to reverse when it parked. Just wanted to make sure. The actual wiper pivots are still totally frozen. I'll have to work on them next. Doug.

Wiper operation question
I'm working on a very neglected '72 240z. I took the wipers and motor out recently and found them completely frozen. I disassembled the motor/gear box and cleaned and lubed the shaft so it now turns freely. I reassembled the unit and wanted to bench test it. After some research, I'm applying power on the LR (Power source) terminal of the 5 pin connector and grounding the B (Ground terminal). I then connect the LW (To relay) terminal to the L (Low) terminal and then ground both of them. The motor turns as expected, however, when I remove the connection such that the LW and L terminals aren't grounded, the motor turns backwards from the low and high speed direction. This implies that when you turn off the wipers, they immediately reverse direction until they hit the park position. Seems kind of weird to me. Can anyone confirm what happens when they turn off the wipers on their '72 Z? Do they keep moving normally until the complete swipe is finished, or do they immediately reverse until the park position is reached? Thanks, Doug.
