I did change all the vacuum lines and can still hear a hiss but cannot track it down. My intake to head gasket may be gone. Hmmm, I'd love to go carb, but it's so expensive or at least when I found it

Ok Well, I got the car running. It's kind of fumbly, but she idles. However, you press the gas, it instantly dies. Any ideas?

Ok couldn't get out there tonight, I will take your advice FastWoman and try and very timing tomm evening after work. I'm sure the firing order part is correct though but I'm a bit worried it may not actually be timed. I'll give it a shot tomm! Thanks! I'll let you know where I stand tomm night

I sprayed a good amount of starting fluid in it. I mean I didn't hold back. When I put the new dizzy in, the car had stopped running before that. I'm afraid it may be a timing issue. I just put a fresh set of plugs in again cause I fouled the last set just by trying to start it so much. Every plug had gas smell to them. I will try and get out there tonight and see what happens with that spark test.

I just sprayed starting fluid in the upper hose piece in between the AFM and the Throttle Body, it gave a light backfire from the exhaust and the AFM made some racket. It DID NOT start. Now what?

As it stands, I am waiting on someone to be free who has knowledge on how to time the engine. Tomm I will be buying a bottle of starting fluid to give that a shot as well. I'm hoping that I can get this narrowed down. I really want to drive this car. I just wish it wasn't so complicated to me. I built my 300zx and did everything to it, rebuilt engine, auto to 5spd conversion, new ecu, timing belt job, it was all a breeze, this car makes it seem so difficult. So if I spray starting fluid in the TB, and she runs it's a fuel issue? If that doesn't work it's timing? Well so far anyways. Btw, FastWoman its all good. I'm not taking anything to personal, I'm just stressed that's all. (obviously about a lot more than this car)

It won't fire and die, just turn over and you can hear combustion in the chamber but it won't hit

The problem was I wired the ICM in the wrong order and I had the coil wires reversed. I have all the wires in the correct places now. Now it turns over and faster than before and you can hear it combusting in the chamber like it's wanting to start but won't.

Ok! With wire tracing, I have spark again. Now it won't fire but still turn over. It turns over really fast and you can hear it combusting but it won't actually kick. Someone gr any ideas?

My ICM has an empty slot. If you actually look at the back of it it has only five wires running to it. This is a nightmare. The old ICM had an empty slot too.

Cozye, is that the order it's supposed to be in from left to right if you're looking at it bolted back in the kick panel?
-

Well I have checked and I have all the wiring correct now and still no spark, now I feel like I've hit a brick wall.

Ok I have the color codes but only 5 wires on the box and from the harness so how do I wire it when the guide lists 6 wires :/

Ok so, I already have the FSM on my pc. I have no Internet so I'm using my iPhone. Upon looking at the FSM, it lists 6 wires to be plugged up on the ICM. I only have five. It states this G,R,L,BW,BW,B. I have a green, red, black, black with white stripe, and blue. So I'm a little confused

So do I take the wires out of the junction box and then put them on the multimeter? I replaced the pick up coil and the ICM, that's why theres a list of new parts at the top that's what all I replaced. Can someone find me a pic of there wiring on there ignition control module to make sure I set up the wiring correctly and to verify I didn't flip them?
