  1. A small chamfer could be machined into the wheel using a router and a carbide chamfer tool with ball bearing guide taking a little at a time. I had a slight problem with the dust caps on my car. and found I could crush it almost a quarter inch. I used a short piece of exhaust tube to support the cap. It dimpled the cap inward after which I flattened back out with a hammer. This was on a '77 280.
  2. I got these off eBay, direct fit for a C4 Corvette 91-96.
  3. I have used grease and wax remover to remove overspray but the paint was never more than a week old. Brake fluid or Easyoff oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic model car bodies. I would try it on some scrap pieces first though. Follow up with soap and water afterwards. Let us know what you find that works.
