This morning when I went out to my car to go to work, it started fine, and everything was working well. I got onto the freeway and made my way 25 miles to where i work. When I was getting ready to get off of the freeway, i down-shifted to 3rd gear. I noticed that the stick was very notchy. Down shifted again, and realized that the clutch was disengaging really low. Is this a simple adjustment? Or is my clutch beginning to fail? Thanks Jordan

The car is running but it is much louder then normal, and I believe it is running on 2 cylinders. What I have done: Detached the belt to the smog air pump (left it off) covered the air going into each carb seperately, the front one is not sucking in any air. pulled wires to the spark plugs one by one, the front 2 cylinders didnt make much of a difference. tried an electronic fuel pump, I think it pumped too much gas into the engine. Basicaly I think the car is not getting the right fuel and air mixture. Should I rebuild the carbs? Symptoms: Louder then normal engine noise, non smooth idle. smell of gas when i get into the car.(not exhaust, GAS) another bizzar thing is I covered the opening completely to the air filter houseing and the engine didnt change. The oil dip on the top of my front carb is broken, (compression?) any ways, its a 1971 240z all stock with the early 71 carbs. any one have similar symptoms ever and or know what might fix it? I and a friend pulled the valve cover and the front 6 valves were too tight... last time it got tuned up, they were properly set. after that, and a little carb tunning work, the engine ran great for about 60 miles, and then it sat and cooled, the next morning (this morning) it ran like caca agian.... any thought?

Saw a few threads about people restoring their steering wheels, and I had 2 days off in a row, so I figured I'd take a hack at it. Turned out great! I forgot to take before pictures, but the after ones look like a new wheel! I also did the shift knob, i didnt want the wheel looking new while the shift knob was old and ratty. It too turned out pretty good. Materials: Dupli-Color Clear Lacquer Semi-Gloss Wheel Paint (used wheel paint because its supposed to be stronger, and i figured that if it has a chance at lasting on wheels, then it should stand hold up pretty good in the interior of my car.) 320 grit sand paper, and scotch pad. It was a pretty easy process, just make sure to prep well. There is nothing as bad as having to repaint something because you didnt clean and sand it well enough. the scotch pad i used to clean and scuff up the "wood" portion of the wheel, making sure not to be to hard on it. I used dawn dish soap too, to cut the grease and dirt build up. Any ways, here are the photos, very easy thing to do, and i believe that it makes all of the difference in the interior. I suggest this to any one willing to take the time to do it right.
