I have somewhat of a simialar problem also, mine I think is in the fuel tank, just runs about a mile then dies, and then have to leave set or it wont start, after a while it does but the longer you leave it set the better it runs and longer it runs? what could cause that, would it be the fuel return line as you said biddljj

thats red koat have had that used on my tank myself two times and both times it hasnt worked, dont know if it because of the guy that I had do it or what but would recognize that anywhere thats exactly what mine looks like on the inside, let me know what you find out or decide to do. thanks.

thanks alot appreciate the help any way I can get it and had come to that conclusion myself, just was checking to make sure because that would be far better, but coating if I can find one that works would be nice

hi I have a 74 datsun 260Z and have had some problems with my 260Z's gas tank, the problem is that it has really bad surface rust on the inside almost like a sandy dust that comes out and goes into the fuel filter before the fuel pump in the rear, and keeps clogging it, have had the tank acid soaked and then coated 2 times by the same guy. dont know if hes doing his job right but was wondering if anyone new of any place where you can order the stock gas tank, have searched the internet many times looking for one and can not find one, want a new one not a used one, because dont want the same problem, or if anyone knows of a place to send a gas tank to get done, please open for suggestions, thank you and would appreciate any advice.
