Our travel plans out of Texas: -Leave San Antonio Sunday July 25th and head to Dallas for Mad Mike Party -Leave Dallas on Monday July 26th and head straight to Nashville -Leave Nashville on Tuesday July 27th and head to the Tail of the Dragon. Stay in the Mountains Tuesday night. -Leave the Tail on Wednesday after lunch and head back to Franklin for the ZCON opening reception. FYI- There are 3 groups heading out of the Dallas area. On Monday we leave and do the drive in 1 shot. Mad Mike also leads a group out on Monday but they will be towing cars so they plan to arrive on Tuesday to Nashville. A third group plans to leave Tuesday and do a straight drive. The Dallas caravan will leave Texas Motor Speedway (far north side of Fort Worth) at 10 am. They will stop in Hillsboro for a break and in Georgetown (just north of Austin) for lunch.

Needed to add another event. On Thursday morning a group of Z's will be traveling to Shiner, TX to tour the Shiner Brewery. After lunch they will be heading back to SA to meet the others who did the Downtown/Riverwalk tour event. http://www.shiner.com/ In order to participate in the cruise/tour of Shiner you will need to donate a minimum of $5.00 for the City of Shiner. This donation can be given in the hotel parking lot before you head out to Shiner. This event is being organized by the folks at TwinTurbo.net

ZCON will continue to be held during the week as long as they are 5-day events. You have to allow the weekend for people to travel into the host city and then you have the following weekend to go home. So having any events on the weekend just don't work into that schedule.

Just some news about the ZCON Car Show. Some people cannot attend the whole week of the convention but would like to be part of the ZCON car show. We have now added a way for you to do that. On the ZCON09 website you can now register for the car show only. This will allow you to show your car in People's Choice category for only $25 bucks! This will get also get you a ZCON T-shirt and a raffle ticket. Again this option is only for the People's Choice category and will not get you into any other ZCON event. If you want to participate in the other convention events you will need to do the regular convention registration. Also for those that remember the last convention in San Antonio. We are NOT having the car show at the same location. So you won't have to drive your classic Z's over a dirt road.
