  1. The waiting is over We have been waiting for several years. It's finally out in the UK and as of today, all the official sites are slated for November 24th. Regardless Sony says US players will be enjoying it in 2010 so... I have been following all the articles for months now and just this past week, official game play videos are online as well as actual images of the disc and packaging for US. These things were not available before and Sony never announced anything on when the game would be available. Until now
  2. HA!!! I knew it!! Now the date is set for November 24th!!
  3. We have come along way from this (at least this is as far back as I was into) Atari and pole position were a wee bit before my days. Rad Racer
  4. From what I found searching online, It is most likely the L24E (77-86). It seems the diesel was an L28 (LD28) not 24. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_L_engine
  5. Yeah. It's crazy all the stuff they have done. Track editor too Where you can use lots of parameters to create a custom track of your own!!!! http://ps3.ign.com/articles/111/1113842p1.html Agreed on the wheel. I want to get the Logitech G27 and the seat. If you aren't familiar with the G27 check it out. It is supposedly the only one to get with serious force feedback for the wheel, pressure increase for the brake and clutch pedal and a newly designed linkage for the shifter to really simulate the realism. All metal and leather steering wheel w aluminum paddle shifters if you choose. http://blog.logitech.com/2009/08/17/new-logitech-g27-racing-wheel-for-pc-gaming/
  6. We are thinking it could be an 810 or Maxima L24? Could it be a diesel?
  7. For those of you who know about Gran Turismo, you certainly have been eagerly awaiting the recent installment, the holy grail of all driving games. GT5. If I had a $ for every time this game has been set to be released over the past few years.... Well I would have enough to buy a nice dinner and a few beers It is finally official after a short delay from the attempted Nov 2nd date but it looks like it is well worth the wait. December 31st is now the date although I think there is a chance we might get it early for Xmas. The gameplay footage on youtube is from the UK where it was already just released. I prepaid on Amazon months ago and cannot wait!!!! This is actually a driving simulator and not just a video game. So much work went into making this the most ultimate driving experience outside of the real thing. Full car (including underside) damage all using real crash test information. The sounds of the cars are truly replicated. Even the stitching and textures of interior materials have been perfectly recreated. 1000 cars to choose from and lots of amazing tracks including Nurburing and the UK Top Gear test track. They even have mini kart racing!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eZV67W4F2Q&feature=related
  8. Here is a link to all sets in case anyone is also into landscape photography etc. My favorite subjects are my reef tank, cars, landscapes and clouds in no particular order. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/sets/
  9. Thanks for the compliments!! That shot makes me miss my dime My favorite one (can't access flickr at work) is the one like that Z photo above. I took one in my garage looking down with a wide angle. It's my favorite engine shot I took of the 510.
  10. Ahhh. I love photography. I have been shooting for about 4 years now. Started with a Canon S3IS then went to a Rebel EOS and am now shooting with a Canon 40D and a 17-85mm. next up will be a Sigma 10-20 followed by a Canon 100mm. Cars and landscapes are my favorite. Here is a link to my car photography http://www.flickr.com/photos/1404980...7600739048420/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/sets/ And a link to all my sets with nature etc. I take the most photos of my 120 gallon salt water reef tank though Here are some of my personal favorites. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/2857919658/" title="IMG_1232 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3282/2857919658_7a9f86b3f1_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1232" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/2857917866/" title="IMG_1222 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3293/2857917866_b27730f926_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1222" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/477109884/" title="IMG_0933 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/180/477109884_717643c33c_o.jpg" width="638" height="850" alt="IMG_0933" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1393030583/" title="Ferrari F40 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1391/1393030583_0531bea96f_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="Ferrari F40" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1392637955/" title="F50 detail by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1098/1392637955_c9dda6c345_b.jpg" width="1024" height="674" alt="F50 detail" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/2857952100/" title="IMG_1446 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3283/2857952100_b4ffb00a3c_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="IMG_1446" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/2857933530/" title="IMG_1344 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3182/2857933530_9af9d90a2c_b.jpg" width="1024" height="663" alt="IMG_1344" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1393947710/" title="Mercedes Gullwing by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1081/1393947710_13f551b693_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="Mercedes Gullwing" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/1240872298/" title="IMG_3960_2 by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1289/1240872298_a063f35122_o.jpg" width="1279" height="853" alt="IMG_3960_2" /></a>
  11. The show was interesting. Not too many cars but the ones that were there were very diverse. My favorite was the Noble M400. What a beast!!!
  12. Is this for all imports? Including Euro? May bring out the BMW since the 510 has been sold.
  13. Greg, I too hope to meet you and watch you race. I love taking action shots so maybe I can get some great photos of some of your runs when we finally make it back to VIR.....
  14. Greg, In his case it has nothing to do with looking cool We kept bumping the camber until the tires cleared the fender. His cars are far too nice to roll the fenders if we don't have to. Unfortunately for me, I have no choice as both my cars are slammed and the 510 has no real adjustability (both cars have rolled fenders btw). The BMW does have rear adjustable trailing arms and I still run about negative 2. I have to replace the rears on my BMW every 5-6 months I have just always accepted the fact that none of my cars will ever be nice to tires. I also drive them like I am going for the checkered flag everywhere At least the 510 has 14's (cheap) and they still look great after 18 months.
  15. Jon, I have thought about that but I don't drive the car that much and the current tires have lasted quite a while. I would like to get those and a set of camber plates for the dime, but currently I am more interested in getting front camber plates for the BMW
  16. I just e-mailed the Nissan parts guru. I will report back if they are still available. Have you checked MSA etc? Ace often has metrics in stock too.
  17. I was trying to convince him to roll the fenders but.... his cars are immaculate and I certainly understand why he doesn't want to cut or roll. Although it reads -3 camber, it doesn't look bad at all. I actually prefer the look. My 510 is probably -3.5 or more. Besides he doesn't put many miles on these cars so tire wear is kind of a non issue.
  18. Looking good Lee!!! Can't wait to see the final product!!
  19. I agree.... Omni sucks!!! PPG is all I use. Epoxy primers are great and protect from UV and water where as standard primers do not.. My hood on my 510 is sprayed with PPG etching primer and then black epoxy primer. That's all that has been on there for 2 years and it still looks like the day I sprayed it. I would always suggest spraying sealer before top coat. Sealer is primer with hardener and will form a barrier so that the base coat and clear coat do not react with the chemicals under the sealer. I learned that the hard way as I had a number of jobs wrinkle or lift after spraying standard primer and then base/clear. It is very expensive to paint a car even when you do it yourself. Well that would be the case so long as you use quality materials. I usually figure $1k+ for all materials to do an entire car yourself using PPG products.
