  1. Watching on eBay. Few of them appear to have some bondo showing. Looks to be a pretty legit place though
  2. That would be a kick to the teeth
  3. Well I still haven't heard back from the importer so.... Not only that, my dad was going to buy my 510 so I could get a KGC10. But now he added something else to the collection. Which he won't let me reveal until it arrives.
  4. Found this on a site while looking for something non auto related. What are the odds???? So cool http://www.japantrendshop.com/nissan-micro-slot-history-set-from-takara-tomy-p-477.html
  5. I would just count on that if I were you
  6. I have a friend that installed the Z32 R200 diff (I believe they are the same) He just had to make a custom mount and he used 944 c/v's with custom made hub brackets. I don't know about swapping internals but I seriously doubt it.
  7. Well played HLS^ Must also be why he doesn't list his shipping charges. I would actually prefer to pay 15-25% more for my 510 parts just so he doesn't get my business. Before I knew Eiji at Datsun Spirit sold bolt kits, I tried to order all the L series bolts for my car from, as well as 3 of my dads cars. I even told him that I wanted to get a break on shipping the bolts if ordering all of them for all 4 cars. His response was pathetic. He was willing to knock like $30 off of shipping which still was well over $100. Eiji (Datsun spirit) sent our bolt kits for next to nothing. All of them together. And his prices are awesome!!! I will stop my ranting now Sarah, My dad ordered the Z disc which contains the microfishe from this site. There is an advertisement for it that pops up on the top right corner of the page from time to time.
  8. Too funny. I don't remember who found who or how. All I know is I saw the picture of that Z entitled what to do with it? I think that was the day you bought it. My reply.... "sell it to me"
  9. Look at how many items he sells. I assure you it's no extra work to take it all or have it all picked up at once. So the extra labor for shipping doesn't fly. Now if he only sold one item a week that would be different. What I want to know is how does someone have a buy it now auction when they don't even physically have the item. When you do a buy it now on some parts, then he goes and orders it from his source. That is false advertising if you ask me. Not too mention, there are plenty of items he sells still available from Nissan which are 20-30% cheaper than him even at Nissan's list price. I understand needing to make money but it seems a little ridiculous to me. If he just did better business practices and reasonable shipping rates, he would make a lot more IMO. Who charges $8-10 to ship a few bolts anyway!!!!?????!!!!!
  10. Matt, Great to see you on here. Matt and I just became friends on flickr prior to this. Small world!!!! I am RVAE34 on flickr in case you didn't know by my sig
  11. ID plates are in that link!!! Amazing!!!
  12. He took two months to send the last parts ordered!!!! Odd since they were buy it now auctions!!!!! Kept giving me the run around.
  13. Yeah. I keep looking at that car on CL. At least he finally got it painted. Looks pretty nice.
  14. That seems to be much more of an issue with newer cars but I will verify. Thanks!!!
  15. I got a bunch of photos of that Ken & Mary. I can't believe that is the same car that was on eBay in pretty rough shape a year or two ago. He did a pretty good job. After seeing all the photos etc I would guess this car is worth more like $15k I got a call from my guy in FL who says the importer has located a few KGC10's for me!!! So I am actually starting to get excited that I may actually get one
  16. Ugghh. I am broke right now Looks incredible!!!

  18. I was considering an SR swap in the Z until we weighed my dad's car. 50/50. That being the case, I worry the SR would throw the balance off and the car may not even handle as well as with the L series. I can't go on hybrid b/c they are too technical for me I would get flamed left and right
  19. You can get a very quality car for $15k if you know the importer. And only if the importer isn't trying to rape you on markup. This guy isn't going to make any money. He is good friends with one of my best friends and wants the advertising. He assured me he can get me a really nice car for around $15-20k after shipping cost. Another guy here in Richmond bought his KGC10 for $9k in Japan and paid around $3k for shipping. I am not going to get too excited as you know how $hit always seems to happen. I do like the Ken&Mary on eBay. Looks like a nice example. I would guess it will go for about $22k.
  20. I have a good friend in FL that is partering with another local who has been importing cars for years. He is getting the line on a few KGC10's and said with him I can expect to pay around $15k all in Hopefully one of these bad boys will be in my garage in the next 6-12 months Will have to sell the 510 though
  21. Awesome video!! http://www.hpieurope.com/tv13/?s=100597
  22. I can't remember the name of that stupid cheerleader movie with Kristen Dunst but there was a great scene with some hotties in bikini's washing a 240z. I think it was red. been a long time but I do remember that scene Edit: The coolest Datsun cameo is in the movie "American Psycho II" In the first 20 minutes, the teacher (first victim) drives away in a perfect orange 510!!! I was blown away why they would have chosen that car. Must be one of the producers cars. I couldn't watch the movie anymore though b/c it was so terrible.
  23. Yeah I have a guy on the 510 forum who knows a lot about this. Consensus is to either import a KGC10 or buy an already registered R32,33 or 34 and since they are a ton of money I will stick with looking for a 70-73. Which is my favorite anyway
