  1. Please post pics of the 87. What color? I had an 87 GXE, 87 SE and a 92 SE. I loved the maximas when I was in HS. I know I am lame but my plate was maxnit on all 3 My first 87 pathfinder said pth-hpr (path hopper) I liked to take it off road
  2. Even if it's not a 100% match, it will still be better than seeing a small silver border around the rubber should it not fit perfect. Good choice. Looking forward to the photos.
  3. I would definitely have that area painted before new glass goes in. Even if it means delaying the new install for a week or two. Should be a very easy job.
  4. Thanks 73with76!!! 280 master..... Sears often has their 250-350lb impact on sale for $30 and it's a craftsman!!! An impact is not a want it is a need with working on cars. If you want to go even cheaper, go to Harbor Freight
  5. Can't access eBay from work but I am sure it is the same one all the guys on the 510 forum are laughing about on the bay right now Ridiculoso!!! Edit: 5:08- Yup.... That's the one
  6. Whoa!!!^ I didn't know superman had a Datsun!!
  7. Not sure either but you should be able to get it with an impact wrench. If not, have someone hold a wrench on the front main bolt while someone breaks the fly bolts loose.
  8. Here are some photos from the event. I think a number of people didn't come b/c the weather called for rain. It actually ended up being a damn near perfect day. Rained once right at the end of the show for 5 minutes then cleared right up.
  9. My 510 did a similar thing which also ended up being trash in the filter.
  10. I have always like the bertone body style. At one time I was considering getting one and doing a wild engine swap. But then I realized I was an idiot with no money and the last thing I needed was a $ pit. They do look nice as coupe's. And they are RWD correct? Thanks for the compliments on my car!! I got the opportunity to take the 510 out on the track at summit point recently with the East Coast 510 meet. It was a blast. We camped out just off the track. There were 19 street cars and 6 track cars. I took tons of photos. My car was amazing on the track. We did parade laps behind Bryan Redman in a classic 911. Then a few of us discovered that the new drift track was left unattended The last photo is of Bryan Redman being followed by my friend David driving Pete Brock's old 510!! 11. Ttiger. Is your 87 maxima SE nice? My dad had one new in 87 and I had one in 95. I know that was one of his favorite cars ever. "The door is ajar"
  12. Touche^ Sheesh.......Seeing photos of that car gets me real excited about seeing my dad's safari gold come out of paint
  13. Aren't you at least glad the hood pops in reverse? Or else you may need a new latch, hood and windshield
  14. Very cool. Love the 308 and 328!!! My dream ferrari's are the F40 and the 250GTO. Of course I will have to either win the lottery or keep dreaming
  15. Thanks Nate!!!! One day I hope to have a Z. I think a Datsun pickup will be my next addition though
  16. My dad and I hope to attend as well as long as it doesn't rain. I believe I started a thread on this a while ago but don't think there was any response.
  17. Very cool!!! My dad (Diseazd) and I recently re-built the motor. 97 528 M52 engine with variable valve timing, new rings, new bearings, M3 cams, ARP head studs, OBDI intake manifold and a 93 525 VVT DME. Vogtland springs, Koni shocks, ACS type III wheels. Euro head and tail lights but I did the Acura TSX projector retro-fit with Philips D2S HID's. I just keep thinking with all the $ spent on this car, I could have an M5 Tomwas.... Love the volvo Bertone coupe. Very cool!!! I miss my Volvo 850R wagon Lovin soundmasterg's old school volvo as well!!!
  18. I 2nd that on the rare slick top!!! very cool
  19. Give the post enought time for Carl Beck, Geezer, Kats or HLS30 to reply. I think they are very familiar with the early vin's and what numbers match.
  20. They didn't ask me whether I drive mine to work. They just asked if I had a DD and whether the car was kept in a garage.
