Patience is key when it comes to cars. You always make mistakes when you rush thing like that.

Very nice. I build some pretty detailed models as well. I love the rust on this!!! Here are some pix of what that car could have looked like in it's full glory http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28510

Sorry those pix were so large. Here they are in normal size. I tried to edit my previous post but there is no edit feature enabled. The manual trans swap would be a breeze!!! Most of the time the auto cars are much cheaper than manuals. For the cost savings, you could get the master cylinder, driveshaft and a 5 speed and still have money left over. Not too mention autos are abused less than the manuals

My $100 Craigslist Series I Earliest Automatic
five&dime replied to kurtwwalters's topic in Open Discussions
Here is the pic of my light output after. And before anyone says "man that must blind the hell outta people", remember. The cutoff line allows no light glare above that "cutoff line" Therefore it doesn't matter how wide the spread is. The difference is unreal. I can see everything at night now Link to BMW pix http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/sets/72157600346688189/ Here is the output pic <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/14049800@N00/2251417183/" title="TSX output by RVAE34, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2407/2251417183_61231e966b_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="TSX output" /></a> -

My $100 Craigslist Series I Earliest Automatic
five&dime replied to kurtwwalters's topic in Open Discussions
It is unreal. My pops will tell ya how great it is. You can see pix of my car on his signature links. His name on here is Diseazd. I took all his pix and the link to the flickr pages are mine. When you go to them, click on my name near the top left or right. I think the name on there is RVAE34. Once you get to my home page, on the right side you will see sets. His Z sets are in there and my BMW E34 pix are about half way down the right side in the sets. You can see all my headlight and other mod pix on the set of pictures called. The light pix are near the end. Like I said, I will post pix when I get home too just in case you have trouble getting to them Here is the link to my fathers profile. The flickr photo links are in his signature. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/member.php?u=14126 http://www.flickr.com/photos/1404980...7600346077563/ -
My $100 Craigslist Series I Earliest Automatic
five&dime replied to kurtwwalters's topic in Open Discussions
I will post the pix of the light output after install when I get home this afternoon. I gained about 300-400% greater light output. The Honda S2000 and Acura TSX have some of the best HID projector outputs of all cars in the world. I now have about a 200ft wide spread instead of 50 ft. The lens itself is the same diameter as my BMW. So I had to gut my BMW assemblies and custom made brackets to fit the Acura ones. I then used the pieces of plastic I cut out with some plastic weld and now they are completely sealed, perfectly level and perfectly aimed. Just like factory. It is unbelievable and is the single best mod I have done to my car so far!!!! Of course when my pops and I finish building my 2.8L motor (my old one was a 2.5) and get the turbo installed in May, then that will take the vote -

Wow!!!! Great find!!! There are so many diamonds in the rough on Craigslist. I bought Acura TSX headlights so that I could do the retro-fit in my BMW. I got them for $50. I got my $2000 BMW door panels for $125!!!!! -
My 85 720 4x4 had the Z24 with the duel plugs if I recall correctly

five&dime replied to mally002's topic in Open Discussions
Unfortunately I can't see your pix from work I have sold numerous cars for myself and others. As stated.... The key is accurate description. I would list any and all problems no matter how insignificant. My last 3 auctions, had no inquiries sent to me. I had such an accurate description with up close shots of every problem area that there were no questions about the condition. I honeslty think eBay is a good place to sell your Z if done right. Poor auctions lead to problems with inquiries. I would also state your requirements for payment and shipment. Include a disclaimer saying that the car is listed locally and you reserve the right to remove the auction up until 12 hours from the end or until the reserve is met. There is no other venue that will give you the kind of exposure that eBay will In regards to the tray. I would probably leave it (although I haven't seen the pix) if you do sand it down, prime it with photoetching primer. But takes pix of the before, during and after -
Great pair of Z's you got there Mally!!!!!

Diseazd is my father. I am a gen-x'er born in 1979. I grew up listening to STP and the likes. I am currently driving one of my dream cars which was new when I was in HS and got my license. That is my 1992 BMW 5'er. I am also driving another vehicle which was my dream SUV. 87 pathfinder SE 4x4 5 spd in like new condition. It is currently my fathers, but I drive it in the rain and while I am building the 5'er into a turbo monster. I will be purchasing it from him in the next month or so. My dream project is a 510. I also like the 69-70 Charger and any E body challenger or cuda. I think a lot of the Gen-x'ers want not only we loved growing up and couldn't afford, but also the cars our parents grew up owning and working on. Just as I love listening to the music of the 70's and 80's. There is a nostalgia of the era that our parents grew up on which seems to come into light for the children when we get to our late 20's- early 30's. At least that's the way it is with me. -
Take a look at the link to my dads cars. His lime green may make you change your mind IMO, it's the best color on the 240. The pale yellow color would be a close second http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27221

Well done!!!! So glad you got resolution. That only happens like .001% of the time. After reading through this thread, I think you all will hate my pops (Diseazd) if you find out how much he paid for two brand new (NOS) in the package Nissan door panels. I will let him chime in to tell the story if he wants
