Wow...I had no idea these things were so valuable. Is there any way of telling between the original Sports Option items from the 70s and the Nismo reissue ones?
  2. I've heard of Takumi Tax but....Ken & Mary Tax??

When I tested mine, it was not 100% freespinning, there is a bit of drag, but you could rotate it with just 2 fingers.

I once had a whole forum going when we were discussing Skyline GT-Rs. In the R32 model, if you pull out the fuse for the AWD system, it defaults it to RWD. Some ppl were gullible enough to believe me when I said that if you put the fuse back in, but BACKWARDS, then it makes it FWD (and if you altered the amp rating of the fuse you could change the torque split)
  5. I've always wondered what would happen if the end of the cable broke... How would you be able to get at that lever to pop it open again?

I got fender mirrors, and you don't notice it so much.

Mooneyes has a few different vintage styles which would look pretty good: http://www.mooneyesusa.com/Store/index.php?cPath=188_45&osCsid=cc9cfbb9a9bd2446fe1757344feb557f
  8. Is there a rail in that pic?

That looks pretty good...might get a few mates and book ourselves in.

Yup, late model, 83-84. Fender flares aren't stock tho.
  11. Yes you can. If you use Mozilla, download something called Noscript. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 Deny scripts from goo-net, and you will be able to right click and save. When you want to use goo-net normally, allow scripts again.
  12. When it rains, it pours http://www.goo-net.com/used/spread/goo/15/700060083420080710006.html $105000
  13. Found this one while looking for details on that white car: http://eng.flexnet.co.jp/flexcw/search/detailXG2.jsp?wk=+order+by+asp_no&an=23129 $79000
  14. http://www.goo-net.com/used/spread/goo/18/905008082809050989240.html Here's a nice one: about $94500
  15. Wow! I love that! How lucky you are to make such a great find
  16. Yes, more like $15k instead of $25k. $15k seems to be ballpark compared to what other S54B Prince Skylines are advertised for, although I've seen some asking in the low 20s.
  17. Wow...that stuff ain't cheap!

I was of the same mind as you, in pictures they somehow look quite characterless and emotionless, but in person, they look impossibly tough with a great stance. I'm a fan of how they look, but I agree that the maintenance costs are a little scary
  19. They look quite nice in the bigger/dishier sizes: (but then again what doesn't look good with 4 inches of dish)

    Hmm...quite rare...and chewy no doubt

Thanks Alan, I wasn' sure if it might be a real LY or say a modern engine with a "nostalgic" looking valve cover Are these things particularly rare?

I saw this car at the Tokyo Nostalgic Show in May: Ok, nice ZG nose I thought...but under the bonnet was this: Is that an LY L-gata crossflow? Alan?

R for Rand? I saw this particular car a few weeks ago at the Skyline Nationals (Jim would remember it) and I have to say it did sound a little lumpy and lopey, not that I thought much of it at the time.
  24. Bruce, the C210s came with L20 6cyl Turbo, 145hp, 2.0L injected, 1230kg in Japan. Also came in 2000GT which was 130hp injected 2.0L six, nat-asp.
  25. This is rarer than the R30 Paul Newman Edition, this is the special Plastichrome limited-run, or St Vincent De PAUL Edition
