How would you build a DSP AUTO-X Z
Hey Andy! Good to hear you chime in! I have your number and still need to call you about a couple things. You are the Man! I was their for the display personally put on by Vic and Andy the years they ran the car, awesome! It was truly a to the limit car I did not have money at the time to build. There is one caveat I put out to people trying to build the car, stick to the rules and get every last ounce of weight out as stated earlier. Then go after engine, SHOCKS, and more testing ie. driving. You can not win with out them. OTH, a early 90's BMW 3 series with basically an M3"Hint" motor and setup is easier to drive, more parts and shops, and more rear end ratio's to choose from. I love my Z and had success, but I jumped into a Trophy winning BMW in a very controlled, big course test environment and in 2 runs beat my car's time by a second. What was even more scary about the test was knowing that the owner, anonymous, never let me drive it again because I beat his time by a 1.5 seconds on a 48-50 second Nationals type venue course. With that said it will be great to see the old Z's out again:cool: Have Fun!

Hey Andy! Long time! I hope your doing well. I'll send ya a PM. Hopefully your troubles were cured with the above posts. Good info to have. Andy knows Z Cars, I had a great many conversations and parts I bought from him. Cheers, Mark Former BSP 240Z now heading to FP?

16" or 15" Better Ride
I have I believe 250F 275 R springs with Tokiko's so I'm not that concerned. I'm curious as to how heavy the stearing is and is it more enjoyable on the street with 15's or 16's? I looked around and they are making very few 245' and 225 tires;-( in either size. I have my 16x10 for the track etc and they are really heavy and too much rim for the street IMHO on 275 45 16

16" or 15" Better Ride
I'm looking to get new rims. How does a 16x8.5 rim ride compared to a 15x8.5 rim on a 240z. Car has coilovers and flares so clearance is not a problem..

Cam shaft assistance
Hello, New to the forum. I'm looking to get my 240Z back out of storage and on the road. My car was a BSP Solo2/Pro Solo car for SCCA. I would like to make it more fun and chuck out the rule book as the car is not competitive in the current class structure. I have looked at Schneider Cam shaft grinds and the Old Nissan Comp catalogues but I'm not sure what would be the best Streetable TQ monster Cam that can breathe a little up top? Engine will be reconfigured to Flat Top pistons around 9:1 Compression ratio 2.8L with N42 Head. Gears will be 3:90.Triple Mikuni 44's for breathing Need help locating a 3:90 R180 or the gear as I have a well setup 3:54 LSD R180. Also looking for 5Spd combination and change to close ratio transmission. Mission: Return the car to the Street/AutoX and some limited Track Lapping days. Durability and Pump gas with a little Octane boost. Any sourcing helpful. Dyed in the Wool Z Car enthusiast looking to get back to the Z Car Power:smoke: Thanks
