I just recently bought my cd player for my vehicle to find out, that i dont know any of the wiring to hook it up. does someone possibly know the wire coloring already or maybe even have a diagram for my 82 280zx?. much appreciated

I don't know alot about cars, but i really want to do all of this myself, does anyone know where i can get the dust cover and bearings from?

Thanks Arne I came to noticing it when all of a sudden my z jerked to the right i found metal shavings in it too... >.< its only been a few miles that it had to be like that, so do i just have to put in more grease and put the cap back in?

i realized i was missing something rather important on my 280zx a day ago and for the life of me i can't think of what it is called could someone help me out? its the gold colored piece

yeah i bought it at advance took it back and went to autozone and bought one to put in and it works quite well

Thanks for all the help guys it actually ended up being a yet another bad alternator (yeah right out of the box) go figure.

i have already replaced the battery once and then replaced the alternator. the car can be jumped and will run fine that way but it will not start on its own. i have no idea what it could be i haven't had the z for long.

I have gone through two batteries and already replaced the alternator recently but i do not know what else it could be. it will start the first time after i jump it but any other attempts won't crank it. any suggestions? I recently inherited a 280zx from a members of my family as a gift and I do not have much experience with working on cars.
