240z in Europe
This will be fun in finding a 240z in eastern europe. I will be moving my lhd 240 to my parents in Poland, so I can take part in some european classic events and from what I know it will be third 240Z there. I am sure there are plenty american cars in lithuania - there are quite a few in poland - hence specialist importers of spares for those. Probably they can import for you what you need. Since you joined in feb 2008, you should realise thet there are quite few cars that can be used for donor parts. Unfortuantely those will be just as unique as the 240 in europe... Somebody posted list of suppliers: if $$$ no issue. Z in europe is no cheap hobby. good luck m. 2 fast 2Z: are we discusing a nationalist sentiments here or the Z car? Are you in the right forum?

Real Fairlady Z432 Magnesium Wheels????
Here is another picture of the 'rally' wheel. It is 7J if I am not mistaken (will check tomorrow), which is period and genuine Nissan issue (as per Monte cars). I will take picture of what I belive is the 432 (5.5J) wheel from 1969 240Z show car. Neither of those wheels have provision for center cap or any cast marks or numbers stamp on them. m

Datsun 140Z.... Yes 140Z

Datsun 140Z.... Yes 140Z
In 1978 140Z won the Wynns' 1000km race at Kyalami. The second came 140Y... What a way to upset machines like BMW 535 and others. The badge was rather different than 'proper' Z car

Nissan first rally win
The oldest overall win that I know of was in 1963 Baira International Rally. So anything before that...

Hello from South Africa.
Hi Andrew, are you still in here?

New here from South Africa
Hi Carl. Bad choice of words. :stupid: Sorry. By the way van Bergen retired form motor sport and from Nissan Japan in 71, so could not compete in Monte in '72 or '73. The reason for their retirement in '71 was blocked fuel line. M

New here from South Africa
And that is exactly why I am on both of them. Chosing one would be like chosing Easter over Christmans... or Christmas over Easter... Here I hope to contribute information from my southern perspective. Like the Gr4 240Z raced here by Geoff Mortimer in 73. Or Ewold & Minota van Bergen TSK 33 SA 694 240Z at '71 Monte. Both topics of little interest to most HybridZ readers. Although Ewold van Bergen should be honorary HybridZ member. Actually anything that has to do with Nissan Competition should mention him here ot there. In the past I have forwarded info about him to Carl, Merlin but it did not pass through the censorship. So I am not trying to shot myself in the foot. I am lucky to have two zeds: one will be HybridZ - but I will not make it look like R8, other rather Classic. Ps.: The last picture was from a "race" on gravel at about 70km/h. Only in Africa. Regards, M
