Coil Noise Supression Condenser - Early 260Z
Could some one provide a photo of the connection point for a stock coil noise suppression condenser? I'm not sure if it connects to the primary terminal of the resister block or the black with white wire near the engine harness/coil connector that accepts a bullet connector. Thanks.

Priorities change over time. I'm going to feel like a young man again. I wonder what happened to the little Italian girl that graced the passenger seat.

Sorry, I missed your question. I bought the R180 LSD from Bob Sharp Racing when they were selling off parts from the early Z race cars. They said it was a racing spare.

Stock 260 head; I believe that is a E88. I asked for polishing. The valves and seats were cut. I cannot say for sure that the head was ported.

The block was machined and rebuilt locally. The pistons are 0.004 over, which if I remember correctly, was the next size up from stock that Datsun offered at the time. The head was sent to Floyd Link to be rebuilt and set up with the reground cam as noted above.

I don't know if it is an A or a B transmission. I ordered a new factory 280Z 5-speed using the factory part number somewhere around 1990. I was told it was the last new one in the country at the time. Thanks for the advise. But I have already spent too much money and to many decades on this car. It's time to drive it the way it is and then maybe sell it. The next owner can upgrade the cam and exhaust system as recommended. My goal was to build a Z that was higher performing than stock and very streetable. I should have it back from the shop next month.

Thanks for the link. Based on this dyno test, my tune seems pretty good. Floyd Link rebuilt the head in 1983. This project is finally coming to an end.

These are all the answers I have at hand. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Size of the air horns (length)? Standard short horns, 25 mm Spark plug # (5-6-7) and gap NGK 6637 BPR6EIX / 0.036 Head work (port & polish)? Yes CR? Don't know. Distributor? Stock Timing set at? Don't know. No MSD or similar box? None Picture of header (seems to be too small) Dimensions are as noted. See attached photo. R180 LSD in a 3:54 diff? And coupled to an "A" tranny - big gap between 2nd & 3rd as opposed to a "B" ZX tranny and a higher ratio diff. Gearing is stock 280Z.

Free 1974 260Z 4-Speed Transmission
This original 260Z transmission is free to a good home. There are about 85,000 miles on it. It was last used in 1982 when the car was stolen and recovered. Consequently, the condition is unknown. Acquirer must pick up or arrange for pickup. If the transmission, suites your needs, I just ask that you make a small contribution to the National Brain Tumor Society. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.
