76 280z Hi? i jacked up the car and i checked the wheels. This is what i found out. left rear wheel spins ok and right front wheel spins OK. left front and right rear wheels doesn't spin. Due to the above problem i can't even push the car when it in neutral gear. I checked my brake cylinder, the one that attach to the brake booster. i saw the fluid in the cylinder holes (two holes) is thick as a grease. How should i go about to fix these problem thanks

Hi? i have power for the headlight and hazard light. i checked the fuses . all the fuses on the right side have power except the from top to bottom on the right side the bottom doesn't have power( top to bottom means from the where all the cable enter the fuse box. where the cable enter the fuse box is the top. when i say right side i also mean stand in front of the fuse box and all the the cable coming into the fuse box which is at the top i mean the right fuses). all the left fuses has no power. secondly, i have tried so hard to get this car going. finally i got the car to start but still no interior power. something weird happen, when i got the car we pulled it with another car and it drives fine. i and my friends pushed the car into the garage in neutral gear position. parked it with the hand break. (the hand break was working) i am so excited because of the progress. But with the car on and running, i put the car into reverse gear, i can hear it kick in to gear but at the same time as it goes into gear i heard sound from under the car (i think around middle of the car. front to back in d middle area). with the car in reverse gear and hand brake down it doesn't move. i put the car in drive it doesn't move. the sound i heard coming from under the car only occured when i am changing gear to reverse and drive. but when i am drive gear and going down the gears i don't have the sound. i put the car in neutral position and push just the same i pushed it into the garage it still doesn't move. ask ur buddies about this problem The car has transmission fluid. what bothers me the most is, why can't i able to push the car when it in neutral position. the same way i pushed the car into the garage. neutral position with car off (engine not runing). the drive shaft is connected. When i tried to move the car when it runing and in gears, i can feel the power it trying to move but it can't. i dont know whether it the tranny or hand brake line is stock even when i release the hand brake lever. pls help me solve this issue. thanks

thanks guys for all input. i got car to start and run but still there is no interior power. interior accessories are not working. that include signal, radio, heater/ac fan etc.

The car starts and run fine. headlight comes on and hazard light works but signals doesn't work. i check the fuse, i have some power on some fuses and the other fuses there is no power. all or most of the fuses for the interior has no power. fusible links has power and battery cable are all connected. I have not changed anything electrical wise.

Help pls. All ideas are welcome.

My 280z doesn't turns on at all without i turning the switch that the control wiper blade on. i am talking about the handle switch on the right side of the steering column. when i turn the wiper blade switch on the car turn on and starts but when i turn it off the d car dies and wont turn on or respond to anything. And when the switch is turn to on the wiper blade themselves dont work. My signals dont work but the flasher/hazard works. i will switch the handle on the left side of the steering wheel but no signal. finally, no power to the radio and the heater/ac control panel. pls help me solve these issues. thanks where can i locate the ACC relay and the fan relay

Hi? i searched but i cant find a thread that talks about lowering method. i want to lower my 76 280z all the way down or close to the tire. i mean bring the fender close to wheel. i dont like the gap. how should i do thi? what do i need to do or what set up should i use to get this result. any suggestion on springs name and shocks. i am going to put 17" rims/wheel on this car. what is the wheel dimension or width that will fit this car without any problem like rubbing. what is the best exhaust/muffler to put on this car that will give it a better deep and smooth sound. i want to put in racing seat. what dimension of racing seat will fit perfectly width and height wise? in order to install racing seat in the car do i need to buy new bracket or i can use the bracket already in the car. finally, i can i get ride of or treat the rust in the interior

ok there is no voltage or power . no power to the injectors plug in and no power to the feul pump. this feul pump was turning on before i took out the intake manifold and exhaust manifold. i put everything back after changing the injectors and adapter and gasket. why is it that, the car doesnt turn on unless i switch the wiper control switch on. if the wiper control switch is not on, i cant turn the car on and nothing happen but when the wiper switch is on the car turn on.

the main relay click once when i turn the car on and it click once when i turn it off. the pump was working befor i took the intake manifold and exhuast. where is the AFM located and how those it look like. is the big piece by the air intake

Hi? my 280z is driving me crazy. some please help. these are my problems: 1. when i got the car, i change the feul pump and the feul pump works. it turns on and push gas to the injectors but the car wount start. the car cranks but dont start. i put gas directly into the intake and the car start. So i went ahead and replace the injectors and the injectors plugs. in other for i to do this change, i took out the intake manifold and exhaust. cleaning it up and change gasket and put on the new injectors and new injectors plugs. After install everything with the hope that the car will start. i went and turn it on and it doesn't start. i check the feul pump and it not turning on. i check the the injectors plugs with electric tester and there is no power. i went on and check the feul pump to see if there is any power goint to the pump when the car is on and there is no power. i went in and check the relay underneath the steering wheel, i believe it the ignition and feul pump relay. when i turn the car on i heard one click from the relay and when i turn the car off and i heard one click from the relay. this is my problem please help me diagnose this problem and i also want to know what further testing or how to test the injectors plug to see if there is power . 2 another problem i realized is the car doesn't turn on if the wiper control switch which is on or by the headlight control switch is not turn on. when it on the car turns on and when it off the car does not turn on. pls help. thanks 3. No interior power. that include, heater system, radio, etc. i check the fuse box and i have power on some of the fuses and no power on the other fuses. the headlight turns on fine and the hazard light works fine but when i use the signal it doesnt work. thanks for all inputs.

hi, i am thinking about swaping a 350 small block carburator engine into my 76 280z. what do i need to do and what modification do i have to make and how much will it cost me than just getting anothe 280z engine and have it put into the car

Thanks for the info. I will work on it this weekend. how do i install the adaptor to the injectors so the the adaptor can hold the inject in place. i can i remove broken bolt. i broke three of the bolt when i was removing the old injectors. these bolts are still in the hole

Hi guys? i need help with installing injectors on a 1976 280z. I took out the old injectors. in the process of removing them, the old injector adaptor break. i went ahead and bought new injectors, new seals and new injector adaptors. i bought these part from nissam courtesy. pls i need step by step guide. photos will also help. thanks

i am sorry about the tripple posting. i thought it was not posting that y i kept on trying. i dont know how long the car was sitting before i bought it. but i guess for a long time. i did not check the feul pressure with a guage. i check it by hold on the feul line with my finger. for the power, i used a tester to check of power.

hi, i have a 1976 280z with an automatic trans. i need help. i bought this car and the owner told me it used to run but it stop runing due to bad feul pump. i went ahead and changed the feul pump. i tried to start the car but car was just cranking but dont start. i went and add more gas. the same problem it crank but dont start. i used a jumper on the battery but same symptoms. i put gas in the intake manifold and the car started. i went on diagnosis the car. i thougth of feul pressure. i took one of the injector out and i tried to start the car but the injector was not pumping /spraying gas out. i went ahead and disconnect the feul line. i asked someone to turn the car on and feul pressure build up. when i tried to release it, gas was spraying everywhere. there is power going to all injectors. pls help me fix this car and have it running. i have change the feul pump. feul filter, starter and a new battery. help pls. thanks
