  1. Thanks @duffymahoney, That is what I will do. I'm assuming they modify the stock shaft and remove the Jeep shaft? My distributor is a Datsun Competition / Euro one so I don't want to lose it! Maybe sell to someone who wants old school I suppose...
  2. Got the 2004 Jeep Wrangler CAS in the mail yesterday. Now, I need a good description of how to modify it. Links?
  3. Now that the engine compartment refinish is complete, I wanted to start reassembling. I managed to order a stainless brake line kit for the entire car but I was on hold for 27 minutes at Power Brake Supply trying to get a rebuilt ZX booster. I also found three different prices for the Wilwood master cylinder so I put that on hold while I figure the best place to buy it. Hopefully, when I finally get hold of Power Brake Supply, they don't have a problem with using a 240Z booster as a core. At any rate, it's only a $40 core so...
  4. Well, you’ve seen the manifold. I’ve got too much into it to risk something that might work, plus it’s not my style...
  5. I'll have to ask him. He says it's an $18K program and that it costs monthly so you can get support and upgrades? It speaks directly to CAD machines. A buddy of mine works for SpaceX in the Bay Area and he thinks he can get it done for me. On a side note, you can shade tree this. You buy aluminum threaded rod from McMaster Carr, then you TIG it from the manifold back side where the threaded holes come through and then face the manifold mounting surface. Redrill it in the desired bolt pattern and you are golden. I'm told...
  6. Not exactly. I have the file but unless you have the program it was made in, you can't see it. I think I have the problem solved though...
  7. Yes. That’s what I’ve been circulating to the machine shops with...
  8. Hey Duffy, Can you detail for us what the machine shop did to make this fit? I have heard of this but I didn't know what modifications were needed.
  9. Is it possible to scream in exasperation on here? It's very frustrating. I want to use this supposedly 350Z eThrottle body. It is 75mm at the inlet side and 70mm at the outlet side. The 75mm inlet measure is what makes me wonder if it is really a 350Z TB. If you go to YouTube, all of the videos on the throttle body are about upgrading to the 75mm throttle body. I'm guessing, either I have something other than a 350Z throttle body or the stated size refers to the engine side of the throttle body. Anyway, the problem is, I intend to use the stock '75 intake manifold and I need to figure a way to mount it. All of the machine shops I have talked to (3) don't want to bother with a job this small. Bummer!
  10. Nice David. Got a price in mind? Take it to the private message if you want.
  11. Mine must not be a turbo block then. I don't have that.
  12. I have an F54 block. Anyone know where the knock sensor went? I’m thinking I might be able to hook up a modern knock sensor to the Haltech ecu.
  13. David! We're on a roll!
  14. So, a bit of finishing touches on the intake today. This is a 3M heat reflecting tape that I'm hoping will keep the header heat out of the intake. I will also wrap the headers down to the collector. Anyone have one of the factory heat shields for the brake aperatus that bolts to the bottom of the heat shield? I might as I have had a couple 280Z cars over the years as well but I'm no where near my parts garage...
  15. Thanks, I'll see if I can use this...
  16. I have a new one that I mounted to the head but never connected gas lines to. But $25 wouldn't get me to leave the house. Worth more like $50?
  17. Nice @Captain Obvious. I passed it on to Nicho...

    Boom! I think that worked!

It failed to deliver as that email address is apparently not right.

I am interested in the Datsunwerks speaker pods. The website doesn’t seem to be e-commerce so I did a “Contact us” email. I’ve gotten no answer. Is there a super secret back door way to contact?
  21. Two pieces. Clocked so the mounting holes don’t argue.
  22. Might? I reproduced a Two piece Porsche rear fog light mount from a drawing on the inside of a box and made 50 copies... let’s see what Nicho can do with it.
  23. Obviously, there was glitch. Maybe an admin can trim that response down to just once?
  24. Will do @Captain Obvious, I am researching with the Haltech site on that. It is 'monitored' by the Haltech guys, but most often they don't do the answering of questions. Because of that, you don't know what you're getting. After all, there are far more experts on the internet than there are in the world by about 5 times! What I could use now, is a 2D file of the inlet side of the '75 intake manifold. The reason I need it, is because I feel I'm going to have to make an adapter to mate whatever Electronic Throttle Body to the factory manifold. My son, who is an architecture student graduating in May of next year has told me he can make me a working drawing that I can send to my friend Larry who is a CAD Machinist to make 2-3 adapters. (I can't be the only one who wants DBW right?)
