Kacrow, If you're talking about mine thanks, but I use my regular window cranks...

Bryan, I think only Pete from Strictly914. Les has a guy and they are working on integrating the metal top and the panel but I think it might be a ways off. I wont say anymore than that publicly.

Bryan, I think some people are doing custom vinyl upholstery on the fiberglass core. Mine is using Les' vinyl reproduction so it does have the chrome.

Bryan, Not without sacrificing the old door panel. My one good one is, well - good. I didn't want to rip the vinyl off. I did take measurements for the position of the inside door pull and the other holes are pretty simple. You just mount it up and you can see through it to drill the holes where they belong. As you can see, mine does have the chrome strip.

Harmonic Damper problem
Steve, My car isn't 'exclusively' a track car, but the euro dampner has been on there for years and I wind it out pretty good. No problems. That aluminum one is not going to come apart. It's solid.

Harmonic Damper problem
Steve, I have two of the Euro dampners that Datsun sold out of the comp department. I also have some alloy pulley that I think they also sold. I don't really know what they're worth but if you need it, I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement... Oh, I have an extra of that comp pulley bolt too...

A sad day.........but
I should have quoted him. I was responding to tlorber's gloat that while you are putting your car away, he is going on drives in the Angeles Crest Highway... "We have a new years day run planned through Angeles Crest. Sorry..."

Single DCOE50mm
You can eliminate the distributor with EDIS or other such crank fired method. I agree with Steve though, biggest problems will be uneven distribution and pooling.

A sad day.........but
This happened two years ago when the 914 guys went up to the Angeles Crest... Oh, and if it wasn't for that rock, this would have made the news. It is a very long ways down.

I've seen that video Jon, pretty cool. Chapman sure spends a lot of time tossing his cap around! 8)

Adam Carrolla tried to buy it. They were a ways apart as I recall. It could well be sold. What I am saying is that Bruce Canepa or Les Canaday might be interested in the parts from a vintage race car. Bruce might also be able to put you in touch with the new owner.

It is now owned by a restoration shop in Scott's Valley California. I am quite certain they would want the parts. They maintain a warehouse of rare and historic parts. Bruce Canepa is the name of the owner and I think you can just search Canepa Restoration.

Just how rare are they?
Congratulations Mark, I know where you can get some serious love for it in Sonoma County. Do a search for Original Customs. They are located a half mile or so off the Square in Sonoma in an industrial complex on 8th Street East. Mark, the owner has applied some serious love to mine and he can help you too. Here is a picture of mine at his shop right after he tuned the triple Weber carbs...

modified Z on CL
And with what? a 2.41 final drive gear and that V8 it should have a top speed of 290 MPH... 8O

Northern California Weber (maybe Mikuni) tuning day anyone?
You'd be 'teaching' Leon. As you recall, Keith gets overwhelmed in groups larger than 6-12. But you would definitely be an asset!

junky carbs?
Wow! CARB has been around since '73? I know of only 2-3 cars that have them (DGV). They run pretty bad for those guys. Fuel comes out of suspension in the manifold from what I hear. I would get SU's but if he wants to try and rebuild, good luck.
