  1. To prevent tapping the gas, I stick my foot under the gas pedal and pull up.
  2. Richard, Provided you electric pump is defective... try bypassing it. Your electric fuel pump is only for priming. I have a 1974 260z with the same set up. My electric fuel pump failed and I removed it and reconnected the lines. I haven't had a problem since. The mechanical fuel pump is all you need for that car. Hope this helps,
  3. I was under the impression that Eibach discontinued production of springs for the 280z. Unless Eibach restarted production I would go with the Tokico springs. Tokico has a great ride and a good price. Stay away from KYB struts (too soft of a ride and blow easier than stock). I have Eibach springs on my 260z with Tokico adjustable struts and I love the ride, not to mention that I can take a 90 degree, lane to lane turn @ 50 MPH with almost zero body roll (of course I have other upgrades as well). Good luck,

  21. I had overheating issues for years. If I wasn't moving, my temperature gauge was. I bought an aluminum Howe Racing radiator originally designed for a Chevy. My radiator did not come with mounting brackets but the size and hose locations are perfect for the Z. Much cheaper than a drop in replacement. I just had to fabricate a mounting bracket and, presto! no more overheating.
  22. That shroud should mount in the stock location without any modifications. As far as the overflow tank goes, you can mount it anywhere you can fit it just make sure it is level with the radiator. I had several cooling problems and tried just about everything to get my temp down. Nothing worked until I went with an aluminum radiator, 14" high flow electric fan and an electric water pump. My car won't go above 170 deg now. Good luck

right you are. 17mm head if I remember correctly. One bolt up top, two on the bottom and one more on the female side.

No true Z guy would put a Chevy in a Nissan.

Unfortunately there is nothing special about an early 260 (except for the fact that all S30's are special). I'm kind of glad for that since I can't leave anything stock and my Z is far from it.
