Transmission blown?
Still the problem with reverse? The shifter being hard to move now after replacing the slave would seem to indicate to me that the clutch is not disengaging, but I am in no way an expert far from it actually. Try bleeding the system again and ensure that there is enough throw on the new slave to fully disengage the clutch. If i remember correctly there are 2 types of slaves one that is adjustable on the early 240z series 1 cars and the non adjustable type that replaced it.

Transmission blown?
Is the clutch disengaging/engaging properly? I had a problem with reverse when I had a leaky clutch slave cylinder. But sounds more like transmission always good to check the simply things before pulling the entire transmission

yellow series one on Ebay
Don't get me wrong Tarmac it also looks better than mine but I paid $4k and this one is only slightly better but has less body problem than mine. To me not worth the extra $8k unless the body is perfect as I can easily get a body job done for $8k that would fix all my body problems.

Poly bushing : Not worth it ?
Dave that is fantastic and very useful thank you

yellow series one on Ebay
Looking at the pictures I notice the car is very clean and nice but as many have already commented the paint does not match, waves in the door and the finish on some of the interior is a bit off. I also think the bumpers need a bit of work. All in all it is nice example but would still need a lot of work to get it close to price they are asking for it. I would say it is probably worth somewhere in $7-9k range IMO. Just my 2 cents

Z therapy carb question
This is not related to the carbs at all and not sure if this is what "exactly" fixed the problem. But I found that when I adjusted the valves and did an oil change that my car started up a lot better in the morning after sitting for a few days.

Best "performance" tire for a 70 240z
I currently switched to Yokohama AVS ES100 205/60R14 and have found them to be fantastic a great step up from the previous tyres with lots of predictable grip and so far good wear. They are also reasonable value at about $90-95 each. I can not speak to the other tires mentioned so far as I have not used them personally, but I have read nothing but good on these tyres from other Z users.

Widest Tires for my Rims
Tire rack (tirerack.com) has a good guide for each tire on which rim it will fit in terms of width just have a look for the type of tire you want. As these are 7 inches you can run 205/60s or maybe 215/60s comfortably without rubbing as I currently run 205/60s with the stock suspension.

"D" Cap Set On Ebay
Yeah looks to be quite a nice set I thought about getting them but might be better of spending the money on other elements of my car

Series 1 Engine Paint Plan - Details Please
You could always glass bead blast it and it would come out looking very close to stock from the factory. I think a buffing will wheel with compound will give it too polished a look for stock. I have a thing for shiny things though and am currently polishing mine but it is quite pitted and taking awhile with the 400/600 grits before going to 1000 and buffing.

New Z is Home!
Yeah my suggestion would be to take as many photos as possible from as many different angles as possible and save them all up, memory is cheap. Nothing like an unmolested Z to get all on these forums excited and begging for more

Replacement Parts - Kyosan/Bosch
Kyosan mechanical fuel pump on mine and I got a spare just incase. No experience with Bosch for the 240z but I know they do make great parts for other vehicles I have.
