  1. you know what goes really good with corona. Crawfish, mudbugs, crawdads what ever you want to call them. man i could some crawfish right about now:love:
  2. its hard to say. it really depends on your taste buds. heineken was my first beer. but remy & coke was my first alcoholic drink i had. id recomend starting off with something like dosecce(sp?) the beer with the XXX with a lime wedge in it. if you like spices (not spicy but spice, ginger, Cinnamon, etc...) try some of the season blends from sam adams. if your kind of a tart person shiner hoiffwizzen or something like that or bluemoon in glass /w 1/4 oj .

where did you upload them at?
  4. those laser temperature readers are awesome. i got mine when i was heavy into 1/8 scale on-road racing. the key was to get you car you run as lean as possible while staying within operating temperature so not to melt the aluminum piston in the nitro engines. back to subject.... they are pretty accurate for measuring surface temps. would be a great way to see what temp your car is actually running at.
  5. ive never been a big fan of lite beers. i cant taste anything when i drink them. i think all the spice and asian foods im use to have hardened my taste buds. .you probably never see the foods i enjoy in a restaurant. and no Lassie or Garfield is not on my menu of things i eat. but food a whole nother thread. but if i want something "lite" i usually go with medello heck even schinner bock feels like lite beer to me. when im at the asain market i usually grab any random asian beer i see. i recently got into drinking guinness drought in a can. reminds me alot of guinness on tap. i got a hold of some divine beer. divine six if i remember right pretty expensive for a six pack pretty good but not 16 bux good though.
  6. well rust proofing probably was just undercoat spray from dealer. if the original owner had the car painted with a high gloss paint that doesnt make it rust proof. so the paper work really is a mute point. i guess the paper work could catch him in a lie. ask him if thats the paint scheme that the car was painted in 1982. the paper work/ receipt should reflect a 2 tone paint job especially if its from the dealer. the best thing you can do is just check for rust pron areas. i highly doubt hes gonna sell the car for 7k and he be really dumb to not take 5k for the car. if it was me and even if i really really want this car id have a hard time coughing up 3k for it. datsun arnt too common in houston texas too. a guy in houston couldnt sell his for 1500 and it looked to be in nice condition
  7. not sure how you would check the od but if your pretty set on getting it than should look under the battery /battery area, rails. check undercarriage rails and floorboards, pop the rear hatch and check that area. if the paint isnt fresh than any painted over rust might have started showing through. even the guys posting is conflicting. if the dealership was guaranteeing the rust profing why did he have to take it to his friends shop to get the quarter panels repaired. i have to agree with stephen on this. 5k is way to much. from the picture i saw that z not worth 5k.
  8. no the mileage reset every 100k miles because not geared to go past 99,999.9 miles. in all honesty even for 5 k that car need to be in great shape. you should be able to get a pretty nice z for that much dont know how far this is from you... but if your willing to spend 5k on the car i saw than you need to get this car. http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/1162315086.html probably could go down in price just a little but depends on how it looks in person and the overall condition.
  9. Half Guinness and half Bass ale
  10. soo. i was home and drinking some beer and i thought id share what iwas drinking with everyone else. Tall ice cold black & tan.
  11. did you guys read that stuff about the "restoration" some supposedly famous body shop did... they carged toyota 125k for maco quality bondo work...

just go to http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2 and search "vapor tank" or "gas smell" there is no one thread on this subject but multiple threads it because it can be one of many issues by searching using those key words you my find the thread that has your fix, but you should start by inspecting all your hoses. try hunting down a 73 240z FSM
  13. when i had mine off they looked identical. but the poly bushings shouldnt be that hard to take out. theres no outer metal sleeve
  14. the injectors on my fi doesnt have clamps.

probably the evaporator tank. if you do a search on it theres write ups on removing it
  18. the car looks good. i dont get how people mistake these cars for the porsches. they look nothing a like to me. other than round headlights i just dont see it.
  19. right now we are in a buyers market. if your buddy in no need to sell than id hold onto it till re recover from this recession. remember a buyers market means bad for sellers.
  20. i was thinking something else when i first read the title  But i always have my my portable tool kit with me. little el'cheapo 125 piece tool kit, car jack, i actually have a fire extinguisher too(something i wish i had when my corolla burned...) and a gallon of rad. premix. as far as that goes i have a something else that make me worry less about dark roads in the middle of no where.

just read the last post seem like alot of work to me. expensive work since your not doing it yourself. and in the end its a low vin, but not low enough to make the car worth that much. it depends on what you plans are with the car and how cheap you got the car for. but if it was me i would let it go.

is that a subaru lagacy in the first post? ive noticed a lot of the datsun owners that ive meet so far are subaru owners too. anywho. i had to ask . look like you get more than one project going there. what are your plans once you got them both restored?

wow 95bux is damn good deal.
  24. from just looking and description and assuming it runs id say 2k. unless more info can be provided thats the most id pay. if its running good, good interior, good rail, floor pans , good paint, minimal rust just good condition all they way around id pay 3.5-4k for it mileage being a factor. if its actually a mint/excellent condition with low mileage than its kinda hard to say. its really what ever your willing to pay and hes willing to sell it for.

not sure i like the head/tail light. the front bumper is little too rounded for my taste. the nismo rims are ugly and from the picture so are the seats. but the overall shape of the cars is not to bad. the wing fits well with the cars overall shape. the engine specs are respectable. just going by specs and pictures id give it a 7.5
