My Z Build
after thinking. i donti have a official build thread for me. until now =D The donor car. salvage title and out of state. floor boards where gone and interior was infested with rats. the car had more rust than i wanted to deal with it even smell seemed deadly. than a 280z popped up for sale and it was in pretty good shape for only 100bux. clean title and pretty rust free. some goodies that i got for the car some of the work thus far.

whats the ideal Fuel line setup for triple carbs?
cool seems like setup 2 is the most recommended. thanks for the info. there was so many options and every one said there cars ran good. but... just because it runs doesnt means it the best setup.

whats the ideal Fuel line setup for triple carbs?
from searching these the setups I have found so far. setup 1- filter > FPR > inline, but no return fuel line. setup 2- filter > FPR > inline with return fuel line(i read some where that this can go in in reverse flow too) setup 3- filter > FPR > 3way splitter with no return line setup 4- uses stock rails flow in from rail>FPR than other return line. which setup is best for a l28, electric pump, filter between tank and pump, filter between pump and FPR or if you have better suggestion on fuel line setup that i did not illustrate id like to hear it

Finding my old car
actually it does have constitutional right. in the constitution texas is recognized as a free and independent state subject to only the constitution. in the constitution it does not say that texas cannot secede. texas is the only state recognized as "Free and independent state, subject to only the constitution." there no provision in the constitution made saying that texas cannot secede.

Finding my old car
actually it is. Texas is the only state in the US that has a constitutional right to succeed from the United States. Like the US would actually allow that...but in the constitution Texas has the right to become its own country.

What is this part???
You guys dont know... its where the flux capacitor goes! I guess the question is if you were going to install some thing there what would it be? my guess would be a pre-filter for a 280z. i would think you would install a pre filter before the fuel damper.

Finding my old car
in texas your public record list any and all vehicles, homes, address that are registered or was register to you. you should have the same thing in CA. you can pay a PI. most PI's pay monthly fee to the city to have free acces to these records. but i can only speak for texas though

Down for the count
wow that doesnt sound pleasant at all. hope you'll be ok. i have yet to have a bad back injury, but i had a sore back from working on my car awhile back. it hurt just to stand up straight. back than we owned a coffee/tea shop so no such thing as a day off to recover i had to just put up with pain and work. something that should have only taken a week to recover from took almost a month...

it pretty much said what all the other articles i read about vacuum advance said except this was more specific to datsun which helps. end of day i'm still hands on guy. i wont fully grasp the concept until i install them and tinker with it. thanks for everyone's responses and as always, very helpful.

well the last set i saw sold for 800 and 60 shipping. and right now theres a set going for 650 with 90ship but still not near end. but at the end of the day your right price is a mute point. didnt know i wouldnt be able to use the distributor advance though. i thought it was small part that is actually attached to the distributor itself. kinda looks like a FPR. i guess ill find out when i get them ill post closer and clearer pictures.

carfax and hope that the shop he takes it actually reports the millage. unless colorado doesn't require state inspections. other than that not sure how else. these cars usually get exempt once the odmeter resets though.

act your age. Wait no... Post your age
Im 26. alot of my fascination with Z's stared with watching SCCA they have a sleek design and reminds me alot of the old aston martin vintage. my first car was a hand me down mitsuBitchi eclipse. typical drive it fix it then drive it fix it some more. after the 4th time it broke down i kicked it to the curve. BUT the first car i ever owned as in bought with my own money was my 92 civic hatchback had a stock look to it other than the turbo prelude engine in it. to compare thats like putting a supercharged v8 into a Z. i was able to sell my hatch for a profit thanks to a rich kid and fast and ferious( im Asian and i found the movie somewhat insulting). anywho the civic was the first car i owned and fixed on my own she will alway hold a place in my heart. after that i owned a mazda p5. thats a long story... than i bought a 97 subaru impreza to fix up and now to date i bought a z. i still own the subie anf have lots of plans for her.
