Operation 240k
He knocked my back with the 18", but I argued the fact that I had changed hubs and that the wheel size should be measured by what came original with the r32 or the 300z and not with the k. We came to the conclusion that we couldn't fit any smaller than the r32 wheels. It's engineered with them. 17"s

Operation 240k
Hi Noddle, can't remember the offset, but I will check for you...but the rim size is 18" at the rear they are 10" and have 265x35 and the fronts are 8" and have 225x40 on them....with no spacers....could easily fit another inch on the back without to much problem.....I posted a pic of the coupe on PERFORMANCEFORUMS and they bagged the F*#K out of my car because of the wheel size and choice....told me to 15" back on it.....a bit too "leb" for some. Will get back to you with the offset....I'll post a pic with the new 265 on the back...

Operation 240k
My 20cents worth! A standard K or c210 diff has 4 bolts up front sharing the weight and the rotation of the diff, using the moustache brow as alignment. Your setup has the rear of the diff solid mounted and the front able to rotate up front. This puts strain on the outer casing of the diff near the input shaft and changes the angle of the input shaft at the same time....so in a silvia, or r32 etc, the "k" frame is solidly mount to the moustache brow and the diff sits in a cradle, the k frame can't rotate!!.........what you have now is sort of a scissor action happening everytime you place power into your diff..........BUT! who's to say that the outer casing of the diff isn't strong enough and I've just waffled on...............solution your "k" frame and moustache brow need to be joined as in the second picture......heaps of luck man, thanks for insight.......

It kinda was bugging me a little too....off to the local importers tomorrow just to see, its got me interested. Ovenfood, do you have any pics of the other diff conversions?

Operation 240k
you're running a rb20? I think that the gearbox is smaller, almost the size of a standard stubby gearbox..would almost be a stock looking conversion......I just finish modifying my induction manifold, made it pointing forward, need to remove the cross-over pipe to allow room for the new turbo.....post a pic when I get back..... RINGWOOD SPEEDO SERVICE 693 Whitehorse Rd, MITCHAM, VIC, 3132 Phone: (03) 9874 2260 I'm actually in Sydney at the moment, but if you wish I can organize the worm drive for you.....only problem when they calibrated mine (having the 3.9 diff ratio) I did a distance test...will need to know what ratio your running any chance you can post a pic of the r230 conversion...thinking thats 2 cool!!!!!!......any plans for brake upgrades?

Operation 240k
please check the angle of the motor, I had to lift the gearbox to compensate for the angle of the motor, I think mine sits lower as I took some off the K frame, and probably in hindsight should have taken even another 5mm off.

1974 KHGC110 240K - my new project!
Hi, Know Evan for awhile, he does deliveries for the Hot Rod place next to our factory, that's how we found my coupe. He saw the sedan outside one day and told us that he a K in storage that was going to the crusher if nobody wanted...but as you know it was striped of all the good parts and the front end panels where all damaged as well...$350............. I think it came out OK!

1974 KHGC110 240K - my new project!
Hey Tokerman, I was flicking through your pics again when I noticed that you bought the car from Evan, I originally bought my car off Evan as well. My coupe was originally stripped of glass, doors, chrome, engine and gearbox to complete your car....hope all that came with your buy, good luck......Kid-k

Operation 240k
Had to be on site at 7.30 this morning for our very first photo shoot. Jun, our photographer took over 300 photos of the two cars for hopefully an article in an upcoming edition of Performance Imports. Here are some snap shots of the day from my phone, will post some real photos when I get some.......worked all night to get it ready as I somehow managed to break an inlet cam on Thursday night!

240K GT parts
when trying to engineer a car, anything before November 1975 has a much more relaxed pollution guide line....with my 75 rb25 coupe I had to pass emissions at idle and noise test at idle, where as my brothers 77 sedan with the triple webers needed the works, from full noise test, emissions test and all canisters installed.

Torker man, nice find, good luck with your roady, Would also like to catch-up, It would be nice to see another K on the road, where abouts are you located?

Some sad news today
Sorry to hear about your loss, To some their project is more than just a car, it has memories, emotions and bonds attached to it, and you now have another reason to complete it, good luck with it all.

r33 calipers on 240k struts??
I'm currently working on a set of z31 struts, which are shorter than the k ones and they will support the standard k hub, but have r32 rotors and calipers!.............I have a spare set of r32 brakes cause I'm also working on a r33 upgrade on my K...Will post pics when there completed.

Operation 240k
Hi Tommy, thanks for the kind words.....I've kinda detailed all the bits and pieces involved in the conversion in this forum, but I'll try to summarize it for you... engine mounts are standard r33, bolted in the original position on the motor but the front frame on the 240k is modified, can give you a template if you wish. gearbox, used the standard r33 gearbox mount but made a new crossmember using two pieces of 50 x 100 angle plate and some round tube...also used two new front control arm nylon bushes as spacers...to allow for the perfect angle on the gearbox I did alter the gearbox tunnel about 40mm, Also I made a spacer setup on the gearbox mount, this allows you to shime the position up and down and made the diff angle adjustable just so all the angles would be perfect....(REMEMBER THE ANGLE OF THE MOTOR AND THE ANGLE OF THE DIFF NEED TO BE THE SAME). radiator, used a r33 radiator, almost fitted in perfect. Had to check out about 10 x 10mm from the front rails to allow the radiator to sit properly, used two mitsubishi magna radiator mounts to support it. standard r33 radiator hoses fit perfect... Custom made intercooler...refer to picture, this is optional.....look out for some new photos as I'm in the process of changing my intercooler pipes to make room for the new highmount Garret. You'll need to make a surge tank, I run a standard nissan bluebird fuel pump from the standard tank to the surge tank with a return line and then a bosch 044 from surge to motor again with return line. As far as wiring goes this is were I cheated, I basically pulled the 240k loom out and sent it away with the r33 loom...it came back in 3 days as one, plug and play..... Other things of interest, the standard 240k oil sensor fits on the rb and works fine. the standard 240k temp sensor screwed into the bunge on the aluminum radiator and works fine, I have later modified it to mount to the original position on the rb inlet manifold You can use a nissan navara mechanical speedo drive to replace the drive on the gearbox, it will bolt on as normal but requires a conversion box to get the ratio correct...I can still get them. There's a wiring diagram on the forum to get the original tacho to work as well. You'll need a new tailshaft, I replaced mine as a one piece using again a nissan navara input shaft, they seemed to be correct spline count but a bit longer in length...... ......apart from that I can't really think of anything else, I must say that this part of the conversion was easy compared to the front struts, the five bolt conversion, the adjustable rear camber and toe conversion and the universal to cv conversion...good luck Future plans for my K....rb26 crank, forged rb26 rods and pistons, leaving the head as an rb25 with the vct, but with neo springs...a new garret highmount and external waste gate, turbo 6 manifold, 760 nismo injectors, have to change my hand made 2.5" stainless exhaust to something bigger and a power fc.....I'll be posting new pics soon.
