  1. Yeah just buy one i did RHD S30 1972 blue I put a L24 because the original engine blew a hole in no 6 cylinder. Had a L24 rebuilt with an e31 head waiting thought why not but i got wiring issues, won't start from key but everything else works. Bought It in Kansas City of all places needed floorpans but otherwise good condition. I also owned a 260, and a 208 and 300zx Z31. I 'll keep my eyes open I always find odd stuff, There was one for sale 3 years ago in KC as well that was RHD 1973 went fast.

It's me again The one with the RHD. I am having wiring issues right now with the engine side of the harness the wire that plugs into the solenoid smokes and getsw hot when you plug it into the connector. Just wondering: someone told me the wiring harnesses were different for the RHD and the LHD BUT can i use the engine bay side of the wiring harness Not all the wiring will work I know because of the difference in driving sides but can the engine side work also what the *$#@ is wong with the jumper wire to the soleniod and if ANYONE HAS A HARNESS LET ME KNOW!! Us missouri Kids don't have access to RHD parts. E-mail me @ d_lauhoff@hotmail.com

I just got the car and ive owned all us models but no japanese models, i just hope i can figure out the wiring so they also work, i'm sure i can i guess i'll make what i have work, it worked when it was parked so ill just do some fixin on it, Hey afterall i've been wanting a RHD Z car for 8 years, not giving up now. putting an L24 in it now with 4 speed. Dude, Datsun owners are the best!! thanks for your help. it dosen't look like there is much change between the two so i can just make new linkage then im pretty well set. Any Suggestions for what kind of carbs to put on it? I am runing stock internals on this engine so just looking for drivability. I have both types of carbs says my datsun friend, 3 screw and 4 screw, also looking at anything aftermarket like webers or mikuni or anything that nature

Look I need help. Just bought a right hand drive Datsun Z and i am putting a 1972 L24 engine in it because that is all i got right now. I have never owned a Right hand drive one, i owned a 1974 260 with a clifford intake and holley 4 barrel. I don't want that on my car so i would like to make su's work. i have several sets and i will tell you honestly, i have always loved datsuns but know nothing about SU carbs or what the diffrence is between them any info or pictures you've got please e-mail me. d_lauhoff@hotmail.com. I am going for a wangan midnight look for the car and since it is right hand drive It is kinda rare in the states, Especially in the midwest. Any help would be cool

Cool Thanks!! I got another project coming up (RB 25 det in a 260) don't know what your feelings are on this but I love All nissans and Datsuns and I love odd projects and a skyline engine in a z would be nice. I would restore to original but it has no drivetrain so to me its a clean slate. When I sell My 72 lemans (I know non nissan-datsun but still cool) I am going to town on both cars so the holley setup might be nice for now then Ill switch to SU's Thanks alot!!!!!
